End of the World: 21st May 2011

Has anybody ever considered that the book of Revelation is called Revelations for a reason. The end of one world the beginning of another. But everytime is this "Oh NOES! The end is Nigh!" BS. For all we know it could be the advent a a great new technology that changes our world so drastically that it will be as if the old world ended and a new one begins.

Then again this End of Days BS is always good for reducing the population count since people seem to love killing themselves before seeing it the world really does end.
 
Or, instead of believing it's some sort of technological advancment to comfort oneself, you could just accept that we are all fucked. GG WP world.

How you guys going out? It's a Saturday so what are you planning for that Friday night? I wonder if the bible will work according to time zones. Otherwise those Americans get an extra couple of hours :/

Well first of all, *I will start watching for dead bodies that appear all over the place. If I see that happen, I would probably start getting ready for it. Although, that might be a bit hard amidst all the **earthquakes that will be happening. :rolleyes:

So if that starts to happen, maybe then I'll start making plans to be with my family on that Friday night, providing our timezone grants us enough time.

biggest issue? these nutters are trying interpret the Bible in a literal way. hence why they get brain farts like these...
 
If this was honestly the end of the world then seriously where is the proof that things are gonna start falling apart, I mean not even us catholics are falling apart at the joints. I see it as the end of chapter and the beginning of something new (whether it's technological or biological, etc...) This is not the end of the world per se, just the end of old stuff and new stuff....

Didn't Jesus say only God knows when this will happen not even him knew when it will happen precisely. What makes (who ever said the 21 may) that special? We can only read the signs and be ready. And it will happen across the whole world at once.

Well, I just emailed those guys the following:

Dear eBible Fellowship,

It is with great intrigue that I read your predictions of 21 May 2011.

Although I am not as much interested in the methodology used to come to your predictions, I do have the following question, or concern, and would like your feedback and advice on the matter.

In the light of the events predicted for 21 May 2011 I am in the process of setting up a donation drive of all my worldly possessions to the less fortunate to enjoy during these last couple of days. This will occur over the upcoming two weeks.

I do understand that this may be seen as excessive, but that is not the pressing issue. The issue however is the fact that I would like to quit my job to live out the last remaining days with my family without the distractions of the daily grind. I'd much rather spend my last days with loved ones and dear friends.

Would you recommend this action?

Your feedback will be greatly appreciated.
