Achievements in games....has anyone gone all the way

I'm working on Borderlands now... Played the game and got all the achievements many months ago. But then stopped as getting to level 50 is a bitch, but then I heard Mad Moxi and that general dude give you a shit load of achievements so I'm playing that again :).

Also have Borderlands plat (my one and only), buy I don't have all the trophies for DLC. Mad Moxxi trophies are too much of a hassle anyway.

I'm about 3 short of all the single player and DLC achievements for AC Brotherhood. Unfortunately, one of those is to complete the every mission (and side mission) in the main game, as well as the DLC with 100% sync. The other two are to find 3 more Borgia flags (all in the Romulus dens, on the chasing people missions), and to get 3 gold stars in the virtual training.

Then there's a bunch that I don't have for the multiplayer, but I don't know if I'll be spending too much time chasing those

It took me a while to get the "Il Principle" achievement (100% sync for all missions) but it's not so bad in the end...and fortunately to get it you dont have to collect all the Borgia flags and the subject 16 glyphs.

I just finished like the easiest game to get all achievements in yesterday...King Kong on Xbox 360 :D there were only like 9 achievements and they were all worth 100-200 points, really really easy :P

It'd be interesting to know, does anyone hunt for Steam Achievements??
I hunt for trophies but I just play my games normally on Steam :).

Yeah, I gotta say I find it very weird.
Steam Achievements just don't have that same "zing" to them.

Been trying to figure out just why, since I read your post... so far all I can come up with:

NOTHIN.

I think because Steam achievements are a lot more hidden than Trophies and Gamerscore. It's not outright displayed to your friends, nor does it give you any type of ranking. It's just there to get and that's it.

While Trophies and Gamerscore almost adds an RPG element to your personal profile.

Alas it is a pity that there are no content to be unlocked to those brave souls who earn 100% achievements in games.
I mean seriously the developers can at least throw in a mini mission or even things to customize your character with.
Btw, to any xbox360 players are there any games that give you awards besides Left 4 Dead 2?! (awards like t-shirts for your avatar)

yeah half the time i cant even find them. I did come across an interesting screen a couple times which shows what percentage of users have completed each achievement. Never been able to find a list of friends achievements. I don't think its possible but could be wrong.

If only Steam did this natively and perhaps represent on your profile somewhere. Something more akin to how it's done on the consoles.

Here's mine for what it's worth. http://dev.zr40.nl/steam/player?id=jt2mu

The odd thing is I don't trophy hunt for a higher rank, I like to trophy hunt so when I look at my trophy list I can see that pretty "100% + Plat trophy" next to my game :p. Odd...
