So I bought a Logitech MX5500 set overseas a few years back. The mouse started being faulty in March 2011 (warranty expires June 2011) and I went ahead and logged a fault on the international logitech tech support website. It was still usable though so I didn't pursue the warranty because I thought with the international stock status.. it'd be complicated.

The mouse finally pegged once and for all 19 Aug 2011 (RIP you amazing mouse you!). Once again I logged a fault with Logitech to get a replacement. They were extremely helpful and not at all bitter about it. The product was 2 months over the warranty and they still willingly offered to replace it due to me having logged a fault earlier this year.

Today, 22 Aug 2011, I sit with my replacement unit. Shipped from the Netherlands. On a Friday afternoon. Over the weekend. Not sure what else to say. Wtf. Omg. Rofl. lolz. roflcopter.

Much love Logitech - I'd marry you if you were Jessica Alba.

Same thing happened with me. Bought a Logitech Illuminated Keyboard, used for a year, my left CTRL key stopped working, emailed them, they asked for proof of purchase etc., next day, they said they'll send me a new unit. 1 week later, got a brand spanking new keyboard. Logitech is truly awesome.

I'll always buy most of my peripheral items from them, knowing that I'm covered should anything be faulty or break within warranty, they'll sort you out chop chop.

:D

Why spend vast amounts of money on advertising when simple actions like quality customer support gives you all the publicity you need. :D

My next purchase will difinitely be a Logitech keyboard or mouse. Thank you for the feedback.

Didn't realise that Logitech are so good like this. I must say that all the mice and keyboards I use of theirs (everyday mind you), they just keep going strong. Love their products. @OP, good news... good to hear.

Thanks for the info anon , good to know some large companies still deliver good service regardless of us being on the wrong side of Afria, I will definately keep this in mind the next time I buy my input devices.

Wow glad my mouse is a logitech. This is the service I wish the local companies had, but sadly it is nonexistant here.

I have experienced the same great service with lego parts also, when I need replacements they send it here for free. I think it is from Germany or may be Netherlands also.

Yeah nice to know, I also use Logitech and I must also say that ASUS is also very good with their warranties, had a mobo and gfx fail and they replaced this no problem.

I had same experience with steelseries. My headset broke so I decided to log a fault with them. was about 10-15min and they already replied. They told me ok ship it back and I told them it will cost a bit much to send it back and they told me ok they can give me the upgraded headset plus a free mouse. So I decided what the heck only R200 to ship it but I get a free mouse and upgraded headset (steelseries siberia to siberia v2 usb black) So all in all a good win for me.

I also once contacted MSI cause my gtx280 was overheating. The card was months over it's warranty and they also told me must take it back to supplier and get it replaced. But then I solved my overheating problem so they tested it and said jip it's fine I can do it and solved.

Wait what?

Also me also have a Logitech Mouse(MX518, best maus evar!) and a Logitech keyboard(G15 blue yo, loving it), though my KB is second hand :/

Yep my nephew had pieces missing from his box so they sent it free of charge including the delivery. It is the standard practise oversees, it just seems amazing cause we mostly get crap service here :D.

Also pleased with Asus, sent me a replacement mobo when the bios went awry, I think it took less than a week to get a new board after sending the old one in.

Glad I know I'll be covered if my Rumble Pad 2 gives problems.
