PS3 price cut R2500 - Worth it now?

I'd wait buddy. There's probably a reason that special is for this month only...coz next month everyone's gonna be cheaper or something. I'd wait until you see official prices/announcements.

Then again...i could be wrong

It's tough decision, but I think I might just go pick this btgames one up if they have stock left. Only thing I'll really miss out on is another controller and free games if there are better specials. 160gb is more than enough for me anyway.
 
There is no word from Ster Kinekor on the price drop and the retailers are not awe of one, when i told the guy from Makro he said really, but then again they never that clued up really.

As for R2500 its a decent price, i paid R6300 for my 60GB PS3, and R2999 for my 120Gb and i still think i still think its money well spent. and yess i still have both in working condition.
 
Well we all know now that BT games as the 160gig for R2500 - of course stock will be few - but no futher info from other local stores. but im getting mine soon price cut or not
 
Another unreliable source at IC said that the across the board reduction in price would be end November.
But anyway, R2500 is a great price for now at any rate.
 
I just went to BTGames and they put a giant sticker with my name on the ps3 box, going to pick it up on Friday (being payed tomorrow :P)
 
I do not own a console at the moment. It is a great deal but what I would like to know is, when do you think the new Playstation will be released? I do not want to buy it now and regret it late next year when they release the next generation console, if it is released next year. :(
 
sorry I dont have an online link. Saw the ad in the paper. IRC its R3300 for a 320Gb plus 1 Controller and platinum GoW and Killzone 3. Its the makro 40th birthday thing, not sure when it will end

im holding out, for a while but its soo tempting lol
 
Went to BTGames last night and they put a sticker with my name on the last ps3 box so I can go pick it up tomorrow (only getting paid today). R2500 really not bad, price drop or not.

Not really feeling like waiting another 2 months+ for the price drop to settle, I want my ps3 now :P

You will be safe for quite some time still......

My guess would be 2013/2014 for a new console
 
Even if PS4 had to come out tomorrow, I wouldn't regret it at all. Unless PS4 is PS3 compatible :P... Or even ps2 compatible as well.... Well, then I'd jump off Van Stadens..

Jeez, how can you ever go back and play those PS2 games ever again. After going to a PS3/xbox you can never look back.
