Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception review and opinion roundup

I watched the video review on Gametrailers last night and must admit im in no hurry. Sure it looks good but its way too scripted and linear. I am rather going to get Skyrim, its non linear nature just appeals more to me. Ill pick up UC3, as I have both 1 & 2, but it wont be a release buy.

I find the Elder Scrolls games awesome but just a bit over the top when it comes to the amount of stuff there is to do. :P You can run around exploring caves in the forest for hours and at the end it feels like you haven't made any progress at all. I think it's a time thing. It just takes way too much of it. I like RPG's that are a bit more linear like Mass Effect / Neverwinter / etc that have awesome stories but not as huge.

Loved the first 2 Uncharted games, can't wait for this one.

Also have this on pre-order after reading all the review's today. I am a HUGE Uncharted fan and it is the sole reason I purchased a PS3. For all those of you who say "the graphics suck" or are not on par with PC.
You have your priorities backwards, even the latest games graphics eventually fade, and in the future when you look back the great games of yesterday, the ones that stand out are the ones that either told an amazing story and have fantastic gameplay.

Nicely said I agree 100% with you. This game will kick ass. Can't wait for the release. I have pre-ordered it aswell. What actually makes the graphics so good in this game is not only the quality but the expressions and the movement of the people. Grpahics is not only about how good the details look when you stand still etc etc also about how things move aka physx.

This was my biggest problem with Oblivion, I found lock picks and a horse ... and the rest is history. I doubt I did more than 2 quests. The rest of the time I just galloped off into the forest. I also didn't know you could set the game to 3rd person view, so I got over it very quickly. :o

But that is why it's awesome. I spent almost a 100 hours in oblivion and still haven't finished the main quest, I did do a shitload of other quests though.

Only had limited play time with the first instalment but it was good.

Might have to get a PS3 as the reviews are good all round but then again i could always try to convince my buddy to buy it and move into his place for a while.......hmmmm

Uncharted is without a doubt the best series on the PS3, and rivals Gears Of War as the best franchise on any console. I cannot wait!!!

This is going to be one awesome movie to watch and play through. Lately I love well told stories and I know Uncharted 3 is going to give me exactly what I want, action, romance, drama and of course some comedy.
