Also have this on pre-order after reading all the review's today. I am a HUGE Uncharted fan and it is the sole reason I purchased a PS3. For all those of you who say "the graphics suck" or are not on par with PC.
You have your priorities backwards, even the latest games graphics eventually fade, and in the future when you look back the great games of yesterday, the ones that stand out are the ones that either told an amazing story and have fantastic gameplay.
I watched the video review on Gametrailers last night and must admit im in no hurry. Sure it looks good but its way too scripted and linear. I am rather going to get Skyrim, its non linear nature just appeals more to me. Ill pick up UC3, as I have both 1 & 2, but it wont be a release buy.
I find the Elder Scrolls games awesome but just a bit over the top when it comes to the amount of stuff there is to do.You can run around exploring caves in the forest for hours and at the end it feels like you haven't made any progress at all. I think it's a time thing. It just takes way too much of it. I like RPG's that are a bit more linear like Mass Effect / Neverwinter / etc that have awesome stories but not as huge.
also, dragons!
This was my biggest problem with Oblivion, I found lock picks and a horse ... and the rest is history. I doubt I did more than 2 quests. The rest of the time I just galloped off into the forest. I also didn't know you could set the game to 3rd person view, so I got over it very quickly.![]()
