Bulldozer is the future.

Dude all your doing is spaming to enter the comp.
Fuck off out my thread if you have nothing of value to add.

Seriously its pathetic.

I'm going to to give it till early next year before laying any cash down. I've been an AMD fan for EVAR but if they cant get something out the door that can at least bother Intel then there's a good chance my next build will have a 2500k ticking away inside...

lol at the above!! Dude, I'm excited on your behalf!! I've been waiting for this CPU since they announced it back then. I couldn't wait so I took the 1090T 6 core about 5 months back.

You said you are building a whole new rig to house your new 8150 BD; are you planning to OC it, if yes - what cooling methods do you have in mind?

Based on the specs of your other rigs, I am assuming you're going all out? :)

Well I'll put the specs out there so long:

AMD FX8150
Antec Khuler 920
Asus Crosshair 5
Patriot Wildfire SSD
1TB Seagate HDD 64mb Cache.
16GB Patriot G2 DDRIII 1600
2x XFX 6950/6970 bios flashed
Antec 1200W Psu
Aerocool Xpredator

That's pretty much it for now.
Already have the parts, just waiting on the cpu, which should be here on friday.

Also still running a 1090T in my AMD setup :D

Oh and I should also add, for the guys that have been saying they would rather wait for Sandy Bridge E.

Have a look and see what I meant when I said it won't be cheap :D

Chinese and US pricing are very similar, so a direct conversion from RMB ¥ to US $ will give a good indication of pricing. Unfortunately, the lack of competition from AMD appears to be affecting Intel’s pricing strategy, with the old price brackets of around US $300, US $583 and US $999 being increased to new brackets of approximately US$550, US$999 and US $1,200 respectively. The Core i7-3820 is priced at ¥3,500 (US $550), the Core i7-3930K at ¥5,800 (US $912) and the Core i7-3960X at ¥7,800 (US $1,227).

Good luck spending R5500 on a cpu, not to mention the cool R9000 on the Asus Rampage IV Extreme

That RIG is gonna kick some serious ass!! Good luck with the build - I will check in during the weekend then to see if you got the CPU and I'm sure you'll post some performance specs once it's up and running.

Holy crap on the sandy bridge e pricing >> this is crazy expensive!!

They're inline with the old 980 and 990s

If the BD chip was less than the 2500K It would be a great deal... It isn't :\

I'd say give it a little bit of time and then see what the market does. I'm hoping AMD does provide competition again to Intel and we can see some better pricing. However we also need to see how the Rand / Dollar does :(

Will be nice to see how that system performs Joker, best of luck with the delivery. If it is local, better to expect it on Monday rather. International shipping to a local address here is far faster than asking a local company to just ship to you, someone really needs to catch the wake-up there !

2 More days and counting and then hopefully I will have my damn chip.
The wait is killing me xD

Will update once its up and running.

Darn it Joker, saw you were the last person to post... And thought you had your chip already... And posting benchies. Okay, i am still contemplating waiting for the Fx-8170, i dont know if i should or just go ahead and get the FX-8150. My board is on its way, ram is already here. Just need to get the CPU. So Joker, i need good results cause i aint going to INTEL.

Well i know for a fact that when it comes to games like for instance BF3 which uses alot of your cpu power, The fx8150 beats intel's 2500k and 2600k. Which is more than enough reason to buy it :D

Will update once I have my chip.

Lol that is enough reason to buy it, i just dont want to have issues with the CPU, i dont like problems with my PC... But i really want to upgrade.

I shall wait for your updates, i know it will show the missing power that reviews seem to have overlooked.

The Joker, have you gotten your chip yet? I see at Rebeltech the lowest FX chip is going for R1200. Which is just amazing. And when I upgrade I'd love to switch to AMD for once. I've always liked them, but never used therm before. Strange I know.

Also waiting for the report, might be that he got the chip and now Windows doesn't boot anymore :P

I've had good experiences on both AMD and Intel, but I don't game that much on the pc anymore so if I can get a decently priced upgrade I would much rather do that. Come Joker, we wants the update!!!

Still no fucking stock :(

Apparently landmarkpc are the only ones with stock at the moment.
Meh Think I am gonna ask for my cash back and order somewhere else.

im only upgrading around feb / march next year though :(

I am also waiting patiently to upgrade my pc in the new year... and I think the wait might be worth it in the end... I cannot even play BF3 on my current machine so the wait for me seems a lot more painful. Really keen to get my first AMD machine as well... Lets just hope Joker has good news for us when he gets his chip.
