What if you need to crack it to use the license that you payed for? Why must everyone get there money but the consumer that doesnt have proper internet and thus cant use product that they have paid for.

Skyrim IS a doomsday device. People have stopped going to work, they have stopped attempting to reproduce, they have stopped eating... In the last two days, I have accidentally skipped work :/ my girlfriend seems to have maybe dumped me :/ I am often hungry but too unable to go get food :/ and I couldn't be happier because I just spent a couple of hours doing what I love. (Well, that is a bit of a lie.... I could be happier if I was fed and sexed)

Well i bought a legit copy,cracked it and everything works fine.Just the occasional freezes when a new area is loading,but thats mostly due to this crappy PC.geting new PC Tomorrow,can't wait.

Really, why do people always pull this argument. On the back of the box it tells you that you need internet. If you buy something knowing it needs internet and then complain 'I can't use the product I paid for', then I'm sorry, but you're just simply an idiot. If you buy a car that clearly states it requires moonrocks to run, you can't complain because you don't have a sufficient supply of moonrocks to run it.

I never said I didn't ever in my life had any steam issues, they surely are outweighed by how well the system works. It's just rather silly how some goes pack mentality and when one stoepkakkertjie woofs they must just woof for the sake of woofing

But if you had a somewhat steady supply of moonrocks and it just ran extremely innefficiently, then you have every right to complain. I have internet and it was still a fucking mission. That is why I complained and now that it is cracked, I have stopped complaining. Think of it as if I have plugged the hole in the gas tank of my car running on moonrocks. Even though they said don't plug up this hole, I did it anyway. And now it is much more efficient and my problems are over.

so what game do get that doesnt need internet? but what if all the cars that on the market only runs on moonrocks? what should one do then? Then you replace the engine with one that can run on something different and get branded a pirate.

Then you don't buy it. You're not entitled to doing whatever you like because 'hurrr all games give you no choice'.
Only if you signed a contract with the car dealership that states that you're not allowed to change the engine.
Still, I'm not saying don't do it. That's your own choice. I'm just saying you can't legally justify doing it.

And then they make up a wild story about Steam. A totally ridiculous issue that nobody on the planet has heard of, much less experienced before, and suddenly all the other stoepkakkertjies have also experienced the issue or have a friend who's had it. Someone once told me Steam wiped their windows folder, and then numerous other people said they'd also heard of the issue before.

Never heard of Steam wiping windows, But it very seriously has wiped all my steam games straight off and they had to be redownloaded. Usually when there is a power out or something and steam doesn't close properly. It ALWAYS hangs for like 20 minutes where I just watch an episode of something while I wait for it to stop freezing.
When people see that other people are experiencing the same problems as them, they will often speak up. You can't assume that just because you have never experienced these issues, they don't happen.

Yes, but with a user base of a few million, if something like that happens, it should affect at least a few hundred people. If someone on a forum on the ass-end of the internet claims to have a problem, and googling it reveals that he's the only one with such a serious problem, then it gets mighty suspicious. 
As for the freezing, I think that's more to do with the internet connection than anything else. I get frequent freezes on my OpenWeb account, but when I'm using Mweb, almost no issues at all. It also seems time-based, which leads me to think it might be to do with throttling or shaping. I get issues all through the day, but 7pm on the dot the issues stop.
Anyway, I've had people on the Steam forums tell me that doing a clean install of Steam should fix it. Haven't tried it yet, though. You just have to make a backup of your SteamApps folder, uninstall Steam entirely, clear all Steam registry entries and then reinstall Steam and copy your SteamApps folder back in.

Meh. I'm over this conversation. You had some valid points but in the end, people gonna do what they gonna do. When they can actually control everything we do, I no longer want to live in this world. Only in Skyrim.

Just a heads up for anyone who encounters the problem with Skyrim not installing from disc and instead trying to download the entire thing.
Step 1. Don't panic!
Step 2. Pause the download
Step 3. Delete local content files
Step 4. Re-run the installer (setup.exe) from disc
This happens when you get the "Steam servers were too busy to handle your request", so just repeat the process until the proper installer pops up and you are a for away. Did it twice before it eventually went through.

Oh, yeah. That actually happened to me. Did that and it worked the second time. If you didn't bring it up I wouldn't even have remembered having the issue.
My Steam crashed when I deleted the local content, but restarting Steam, I had no issues.

Tried this, didnt want to work; had to FORCE setup.exe to run from the DVD drive instead of downloading... had about 20 'Steam servers too busy' BS on Friday evening. So when people cant get the setup.exe to ignore the internet - YES mine DOWNLOADED AGAIN, force it by running :
steam.exe with the -install DVD: switch.

Geez! seems people are either stuck in 2004 or they have not used steam before, I have had nothing but joy from steam, always up to date patches, and none intrusive (unlike almost all other DRMs I may add) people need to get with the times. steam is the best Game delivery system (and DRM) around.

Dude, don't be so quick to shout that it's all good just because you have no issues. Lomek had almost daily issues with Steam while here ... ranging from constant updates not going all the way to his games trying to redownload every other day, etc etc. People have shit with apps, way of the world .... for the people with no issues to keep saying "I'm ok Jack so you must be a drama queen" is dumb. People had issues with Origin when I had not one, didn't make me berate them for having issues.
