So lately, with all the heat we have been having, I have noticed a problem. My GFX card gets pretty hot (around 80-90degrees) and the fan speed does not go up to more than about 45% (This is under load)
I have worked around the problem by downloading the nvidia performance tool and setting profiles to make the fan spin faster at higher temperatures and that seems to work quite well. The card then starts to stabalise at about 65degrees under load with a fan speed of about 60%. I am worried that this could potentially reduce the life span of said fan.
Is this normal for Leadtek cards to not speed the fans up fast enough to actually compensate for the heat? Also the card sits at about 40degrees under normal windows usage.
