Mass Effect 3

Did you guys prefer ME1 or ME2? I've only played the 2nd one, but don't know if it's worth dedicating the time for the first.

I really liked both. The first one has the whole story where everything started and in some cases, I preferred the first one over the second. I would definitely recommend it.

As long as it's not as dumbed down as ME2.Playing games like Battlefield3,DistantWorlds and Hellgate makes most games feel like they lack content.

Preferred the 1st one as well actually. Just for the fact that it had an inventory system and helmet toggle key! It was always fun to chat to people in game, and soon as the fit hit the shan, I would hit that helmet toggle key and the whole party would go in to action mode. I really hope they add the helmet toggle key to ME3 again.

ME1 sounds more like my kind of game. I dig RPG styles and ME2 felt more like a shooter with some RPG elements rather than the other way round.

I have not pre-ordered it, but that's cause of the whole lack of funds thing.
So instead I am finally completing my insane playthrough, just got to disk 2. But feeling a bit burnt out atm so tis tough.

An educated guess tells me Mass Effect 3 will not be coming to Steam ;(
I would love to get a "digital deluxe" version for Steam to go along with my ME1&2, but the chances are very slim, perhaps they will release it on Steam at a later date.

Already been announced the digital deluxe is exclusive to origin.

NERDGASM!!!!

/Goes to replace Mass Effect 2.

I hope so too, no one should miss this AWESOME title.

I need two or three of the new DLCs that came out still. But I can't talk myself into playing it just yet. I think I've overplayed ME2 a bit much since its release :x

Edit: Ah, Genesis and Arrival are the two I haven't played yet.

I have but need to play most of the dlc. The only really important ones is Liar of the Shadow Broker and Arrival I think. I'll boot it back up this weekend.

I'm thinking of starting my play-through a week or two before ME3 gets released. That way I can just "carry on" without the horrible feel of "I NEED MOAR!!!" creeping up.

Think The Darkness 2 and Amalur will tide me through February. Although I just hope that Amalur doesn't feel too much like the MMO it didn't end up becoming (the demo really left me feeling like it was grab-and-do questy with very disinterested dialogue but I LOVED the combat).

Only thing with Amalur is that I want it on Steam for the achievements, but I'd like it retail for the pre-order goodies (like wtf am I going to do with Team Fortress 2 items? I mean really. Wtf kind of incentive is that?).

I actually bought ME2 again, this time for PS3 since I already have it for PC. The cool thing is the PS3 version comes with all the DLC and it only cost me R150. All I can say is I'm hooked all over again and I'm really looking forward to ME3. :D

@Lycan, if Amalur has steam achievements then it's going to be a Steamworks game, so buying the retail version will give you the same benefits, it will install into your Steam library.

Perhaps I should do the same... Amalur is out next week, I want to get the Darkness 2 as well but it, Syndicate & Binary Domain will just have to wait.
My problem is with work, wife and studies I hardly really get time to sit down and plough 4 -8 hours of game time in like I use to . At least the studing kind helps, even if its just me testing my own demos.
