Try disabling your antivirus for the time being, it might be scanning every one of the packets from Origin. It only creates an artificial delay, so your speed won't actually increase, but rather smooth out, giving you a more accurate ETA.

That said, it could also just be launch day blues.

I'm going with launch day blues :p

Dentar's been having similar grief on his side... in Denmark... on a 10Mbps connection.

It's just teh sux.
 
Yeah I'm also only getting 50KB/s on the DLC, although strangely the soundtrack is going at 120KB/s.

Ok so I paused the DLC and resumed, after taking an hour to get 50% the thing 'resumes' from 0%... I don't even...

On the other hand though the download is now going at 150KB/s instead of 50KB/s so the remaining time is actually lower.

That doesn't exclude AV as a culprit, you know :p Hope you're previous ETA was right and that you're playing by now!
 
At least you didn't get the game on Friday and then leave it in your desk draw at work over the weekend, like someone I know. :)
