ChessConquest - official discussion thread

You won't believe what happend to me this weekend. I got challenged by two Romanians with reasonable time limits.
First is against quicklyKNIGHT with time controls of 24h and 2day Timebank and
Secondly danyelmarius with 2days and 5day Timebank. I have deleted many challenges from danyelmarius with short time limits and this was the first time i got a decent challenge. So it look like they are getting "trained" that not everyone can play quick games with the great risk of being timeout the second you over your limit.

There is still something strange going on with the Romanians, i know Fivel have mentioned it before and i have seen it twice with quicklyKNIGHT. He is offline and as soon as i make a move he is online. Have it happendd to any of you?

Yep, Danyelmarius is one of the trainable ones. He eventually learns. He is pretty good though (probably why he's trainable). I've played 2 or 3 games against him already and he totally killed me in all of them.

Agree, he is also a nice guy!

The latest Speedkings tourney has a 2 day time bank, is that right?

I think so, we decided to add a 2 day time bank to Speed Kings. This is to prevent players from being penalized if their Internet connection is down for a day or two.

As usual, this is always up for debate, and if players feel it should rather be zero days, we have no problem in changing policy accordingly.

Thanks Yotta, wasn't aware of the change and your rationale for doing it definitely is fair.

Hi guys, any way to get around a guy playing the same moves to try force a draw? There's no sort of no letting up, we keep playing the same moves but he's really underpowered now - can't really blame him though?http://www.chessconquest.com/index.php?p=viewgame&gameid=14970

I'm confused as what to do, and it keeps promting me to "Claim 3 position rule draw? Yes". Is that my opponent offering a draw?

No, the "Claim 3 position rule draw" is a chess rule in that if the same board position occurs three times, you have the right to claim a draw on the game. You can claim the draw by simply clicking on the "Yes" link.

I don't think that is your opponent offering you a draw. It will specifically state that he/she is offering you a draw.

Edit - Yotta just got in before me, must be his admin rights ;)
