Diablo III - General Discussion Thread

There is mention though, that they used the Hydra bug(Healing for Life after Kill when despawned/desummoned), but yea... I'm not too bothered by this, it is fun to see all the people raging/hating both ways.
 
Wonder if they will fix item links that they broke.
Probably not, it will most likely be focused on things like "Not automatically re-joining the General Chat, after you've left it once" stuff... you know priority stuff. :P

On that note though, I was laughing my ass off when I was linking a socketed item in party and it didn't display correctly, being a Developer myself, that's just piss poor coding.
 
Aw I'm standing in front of Diablo's door on inferno. Wanted to do it before the patch but doubt I'll get to it tonight thou :(
 
Re-rolled a wd and enjoying it much more than the monk. Its like none of the skill slots are wasted, if you want you can have 6 spells doing damage all at the same time.
The damage with zombie bears is insane, wonder if it will get nerfed. using it as my primary attack.
 
Bug Fixes

Skill Rune – Nether Tentacles
Tentacles will now only hit each target once

Bosses
Siegebreaker
Overall damage has been reduced
No longer vulnerable to Confuse and Charm effects
Will now drop a health globe every 25% health mark (i.e. at 75%, 50%, and 25% health)
Now enrages after 4 minutes
In Inferno difficulty, Siegebreaker will now gain the Reflects Damage affix
It's going to be fun trying Siegebreaker later today. :P

Bug Fixes
-Players wearing +Life on Kill items should no longer receive a benefit from this affix when "killing" friendly monsters (e.g. when a witch doctor re-summons a Spider Queen while another Spider Queen is still active)
-Fixed a bug with linking items with socketed gems in chat
So they did actually fix the linking issues and lol @ the hydra bug being fixed now as well.

+ Attack Speed bonus values on weapons and armor have been reduced by 50%
Wow that is massive!

Fixed a position desync bug (aka "rubberbanding") that could happen when some movement skills (Strafe, Whirlwind, Tempest Rush) ended because the player ran out of the appropriate resource
I really really really hope that fixes my teleport wormhole bug, where I sometimes jump back halfway across the map 30 seconds after casting the spell.

Rank 7 - Square: 85 gold (down from 7500 gold)
Rank 8 - Flawless Square: 100 gold (down from 20,000 gold)
Lots of people are going to very pissed rightfully because of this enormous change.

Legendary items with the +Attack Speed bonus will now correctly provide a bonus to attack speed
Please note that this fix will only affect new Legendary drops. Existing Legendary items will be addressed in a future patch.
That is really stupid. It's a legitimate bug, they should fix it on all of the items, not just on the new ones.

Jeez I never noticed the Nether Tentacles Bug, with a DH you die so quickly. Tried many builds but still getting killed in inferno is pretty easy. Now I decided to stay on a high dps build as it is one in the same wether you try resistance or life you just get klapped by elites.
 
Yea there are a few people testing out tank DH builds, but the majority still reports you only increase it to being able to take 2 hits instead of 1.

They did mentioned fixing current Legendary IAS in 1.0.4(no ETA), which is good I guess.

The attack speed nerf has me rather worried. As a Monk my outright DPS isn't very high compared to Wizard or Barb so I rely heavily on doing more attacks per second to make up for the lower damage I do.

I guess I'll see how bad it is tonight, but I'm not really happy with the change.

Agreed it is basically useless trying a tank build on a DH, so I am trying to up my dps now sitting on 61k atm but need to farm a bit more and see if I can up that even further....
 
I made it to act 2 inferno last nigh. :D I'm so glad that they are nerfing act 2 though because even the normal mobs there hit crazy hard!

As for the patch, well I'm happy about the changes they are making. Luckily I haven't been concentrating on increased attack speed.
