Diablo III - General Discussion Thread

For me as a monk my biggest issue with the attack speed nerf is not so much DPS (I only lost about 800 and easily got that back), but rather I rely on attack speed to generate my spirit and now that has gone out the window.

I've made some changes to my build now, opting now for two fist weapons to make up for the spirit gen and I'm pushing my crit damage, got it from +50% to +150%.

I haven't had a chance to test it out yet, just bought the second fist weapon last night on the AH before logging out. I hope to give it a go tonight.

I played my lvl 38 monk last night and got her DPS up to 1.1K But my build has never included Attack Speed. I didn't notice my Spirit gaining being too bad.

Come hc now snow, come play the game how its meant to be played :p

I'd love to, but I've lost so many HC toons in the past (D2) due to SA and latency. I just really do not feel like getting that pissed off when a death is not my fault. Just my opinion, but SA and HC don't go together so well :(

Been annoyed enough dying on Diablo P3 (takes like 20 mins to get there :p) thanks to some nice rubber banding.

Maybe one day when I'm getting a bit bored of farming gear for my normal toons :)

I'm at lvl 59 atm and in hell difficulty I eat through spirit very very quickly. I'm playing a kind of off-tank - dps - group healer build and it eats through spirit, so I need good spirit regen (but I'm sure I'll find another way).

Umm we will be on late only Isengard :P Family dinner :P

But we will be there sooner or later.

No man, you guys can eat tomorrow morning. Tonight you dine in hell! :D

I actually thought about making a HC Demon Hunter last night. Then didn't.

:p "whistling:

I'm still going to do the HC thing, but only once I've actually finished Diablo on Inferno. And maybe get a few other characters to 60. Thing is, you'll really have to make sure you have no chance of lag spikes.. which is tricky :(

Or you just accept your character is already dead before you even make him so when he eventually dies die it won't matter. :)

I like that. But the emotional detachment might lead to a detached playing experience and style, and detached play style might lead to a lack of concentration, leading to inevitable, bloody, horrible death for my poor character..

Or am I overthinking this? :D

Well I've always had the mentality of "My character will die and be gone at some point and I accept that" when I used to play HC.

But the issue for me is that there is a big difference between loosing a toon because you f'd up and because of SA and latency. The one I can handle :)

Had the same thing last night as well - jumping around all over the place. Luckily it cleared itself up after about 10 minutes.

Im surprised though, since i moved to the pinetown area, my 3G has been hellishly stable compared to my old place (yes im playing diablo 3 hardcore on 3G cause im hardcore like that :p )

Hello,
Our network team is looking into this at the moment, I don't have an ETA right now but they're working on the issue and we'll update as soon as we have more info.

Hello,
The EU servers have been brought down to address a connectivity issue, this should only last a few minutes and then we'll be bringing them back up again.
Sorry for any inconvenience caused by this

Hope they fix whatever before hometime. ^_^

Does anyone know exactly how XP gain works when playing coop with a higher/lower level character? I can't find anything official or definitive on this.

I would like to know too, joined a friend in ACT III with my lvl 20 monk, by the time we had got halfway through I was at lvl 27.

I'm on a mission to finsih the game in Hell difficulty with a demon hunter
Using only a gamepad! Ok maybe the mouse now and again for inventory management when it's full., that part is still a pain..

Made it to ACT2 Nightmare so far.

edit: Solved the inventory management too, right analog sticks works as a normal mouse. Even played with my wizard in inferno with gamepad. Even the barbarian works well, and without any real disadvantage.
