Diablo III - General Discussion Thread

I haven't played this game in about two weeks now, and to be honest, I don't really feel the desire to play it either. No idea why. I didn't like it nearly as much as Diablo 2, but it wasn't a bad game.

Oh lol. I see digital purchases now have to wait up to 72 hours before they can play the full game. They only get the starter edition in this trial period.

Blizzard just continues shafting its players.

And it's all done to save money on having to increase the infrastructure. It's all about the Benjamins.

Anyway, farming Inferno act 1. Some of the elite mobs are insane!

Just until you get gear then it's ezmode. Gets quite boring actually playing the same act over and over and over. Act3 is still faceplant so not exactly sure how much more gear I need. :(

I think our gear is fine for act 1, we are farming them appropriately and depending on their abilities they might be easy or hard. We are just definitely not ready for act 2 yet that's for sure.

What class are you again? Monk = a Monk?

Act3 atm is really easy compared to what it was pre 1.0.3. For Melee anyway, but the good drops have been nerf'd bigtime!

I was playing a barb then rerolled a wiz, much easier and far fewer deaths. Tried act3 with barb friend, went up against the dudes who do the big overhead smash, had hoard, extra health, missile dampening(not cool!) and shields. So we ran into the enrage twice at around 10-15%, without me dying, which was rather damn annoying. Might try again now that I'm 8k dps up from that but it just seems far less efficient doing those acts for gear when it takes you 10x longer to kill an elite yet you only have 2-3x the drop chance. Even dudes with crazy gear doing 200k DPS are farming act1 since they can 1-shot everything.

Im pretty much face rolling the game with all 3 my main char ( 60 Barb, 60 Wiz, 60 DH)
Right now its actually a little bit boring if I'm honest, time for a break I reckon.

Yeah they really need to put decent legendaries back in the game so you have a nice goal to aim for rather than mostly just a collection of the same coloured loot you pick up in the 100's every night.

That's what I was thinking, they should make Legendary items..."LEGENDARY"
So its something to work towards getting. I've dropped around 10 lvl 60+ Legendary items and they are all shit lol.

I have figured out you can lvl from 1-60 in around 15 hours if you really push, also kinda sad...LvL cap should be raised.

Well you can't really balance levelling time around power levelling, classic wow most people (including myself) took 3-5months to get to 60 yet some people could do it in 4 days.

Not talking plvling mate.
That's solely from playing the game act 1 to 4, no bossing runs or boosting.

Well it's power levelling in the sense you don't really care about 'playing' the game just get to max level as fast as possible.

I agree though it was too quick to get to max level but not because 60 was too easy to get but rather because the game was too short, a single run playing normally just shouldn't be taking 10-12hours for an RPG. Which sort of makes inferno feel like a cop-out. Since instead of actually making the game longer with more content they just cheated and made you play through it a fourth time.

I guess what I am trying to say is that I would rather have spent 60hours playing through the game twice than 60 hours playing through the game 4 times.

I must be honest, I am hating the witch doctor on Hell. Even after buying some decent items off the AH he still sucks. Does no damage and dies at the mere sight of a zombie.

Unless I am doing something horribly wrong.
