Guild Wars 2

Bad time for a stress test in SA. O well. Guess I will skip this one. I also had the graphics glitches last night which made a jumping puzzle I was attempting, a suicide mission.

THAT IS NOT TRUE!

Stop perpetuating this nonsense.

Please feel free not to shout at someone that they are a noob, or do so if it makes you feel mucho leet. I learned a valuable fact and you insist that I was making my 25fps statement knowing full well I was wrong?

Stop perpetuating your condescension.

Right so on to some more positive things. :)

How did you find what you've see of the game so far (I know it's not much)? You're quite the MMO veteran so a first glimpse opinion would be interesting.

You know what, the aspect of the game that struck me first off and is still with me, even though I played for 40 minutes is the artistic style. It was very refreshing not to find either a style that seeks to be "realistic" or the other side of the spectrum, cartoonish. I thoroughly enjoyed the "painting - artistic" effect on icons and other features.

From talking to real life friends for hours on the phone about this game, I can so far see that Arenanet has tried to do what we ("we" as in the growing crowd of MMO enthusiasts who are tired of the old genre) have been begging a company to do for a long long time: innovate and break away from the tried, tested and now stale mechanics.

Only time will tell the tale if this will be a successful innovative venture or not, but judging from the already huge community, it certainly has drawn a good crowd.

I for one am going to love seeing how it grows.

You should probably lookup condescension since I'm not sure you know what it means. NOW I'm being condescending.

You made a statement saying something which was untrue, and it's an untruth which is often tossed around. So I made the big shouty words about that fact. If you feel that was somehow directed at you then that probably says more about your ego than mine.

Also it's macho and I don't think winning internet arguments makes anyone macho.

To be fair MOnk - I might have taken offence at it as well - especially since Isengard had already explained it in a much more polite manner. And Shrike had already taken the points to heart. Anyways - no point in arguing the fact - this isn't the place for it.

Back on topic - I'll be giving this particular test a miss as well, even if I don't want to - got to drive through to Durbs early tomorrow morning, so I'll be needing my sleep. If anyone does take part, feed us :)

Actually Isen said this;
While that's true...
So he also believed it to be true even though everything he said after those words went on to show the opposite. :D

Anyway whatever, it's just a pet peeve ok, let me have my vices!

Tried out a sylvari warrior for a half hour this morning. I am very impressed with the sheer level of detail on the basic unarmoured models. Arenanet have done a lot of very hard work in optimizing polygon count to get that kind of detail.

The combat animations are also telling in their complexity.

I have to stop myself from playing more, I....must....not.....spoil.....the....shiny!

Um did you actually read that definition?

Mucho
Mucho is Spanish for much. (adverb)
An example of mucho is when something costs a lot.

Versus

Macho
adjective
1. having or characterized by qualities considered manly, especially when manifested in an assertive, self-conscious, or dominating way.
2. having a strong or exaggerated sense of power or the right to dominate.

So unless he was trying to tell me I cost a lot, I think he meant macho. :D

I was actually going for "if it makes you feel mucho leet" translating to: "if it makes you feel lots leet", to be more grammatically correct: "if it makes you feel very superior".

Anyways, bygones.

I did, I also know how to use the word withing the Spanish context, like Shrike did. It really isn't difficult, and I was just pointing out that you were looking for insults where there were none.
