Comic Books

I have read only a preview of this. Looks awesome. The first year of Judge Dredd stories. Dammit Omega, now I want it too. Also, for that price, it is a steal.

:D I ordered it off Amazon this morning it should be here tomorrow, I'll post you some pics and give my general opinion.

Hope you can see this image. Otherwise google image Dexter Soy.

Thanks bud I see it now , For some reason I was thinking , Captain Marvel from DC
Art is awesome though

I am going to be so broke...

Well I am very impressed & happy with Vol. 1. Its as thick as most paper backs and because each stip is about 4 pages long its brilliant for a quick read between doing other stuff. I've made a decent dent in it just from Saturday.

Oh awesome. Yeah, definitely adding that to my wishlist.

Anyone go to the sale at Cosmic Comics over the weekend? Picked up 18 issues of Moon Knight Volume 4 for R90...and Superman: Last Son (Hardcover) for another R90.

Yeah I dont you would regret it. It does, even in the first few strips, show just how completely and utterly WRONG Hollywood got Dredd with that Stalone vehicle back in the 90s. Im really looking forward to the new one which was Shot in CT.

Yeah, can't wait for the movie, even though the general opinion in the office is not that positive. Dredd unfortunately lives under that kak idea that they attempted with Stallone and the 3 shells. I think this movie is going to be a lot better, really keen on seeing it.

They Screened the full film at comicon and to the applause of fans. So yeah I am really excited about it also.

Okay guys, just a heads up: Zero Month starts this month for the new 52. These will attempt to give some background on the titles that have been running over the last year. There will also be some new ones, like Phantom Stranger and (the one that looks the most promising) Talon, from the Court of the Owls story line, straight from the pages of Batman.

Also, I have ordered the Underwater Welder (by Jeff Lemire) for myself and Godfather, due in about 2 months because of the huge demand. If you see the book, buy it. Another useful pick of mine that I'd recommend to other readers who like sort of off-beat stories, get Saga. Done by Brian K. Vaughn and is something truly unique. Go get them! NOW!

Cannot wait for my Underwater Welder. I just read The Legend of the Dark Knight drawn by Jeff Lemire and it was amazing. Thanks for the recommendation Avenged!! I am on a Jeff Lemire high at the moment. I am also re-reading Sweet Tooth and what an amazing series. If you are into post apocalyptic efed up weird shi💩then this is a MUST read. I absolutely love it!
Also cannot wait for the animated movie adaption of Frank Miller's Batman: The Dark Knight Returns. Saw the preview and f✌ck me, it is going to be awesome!

I just got into Lone wolf and cub and the Goon by Dark Horse and it is 💢🎶🔥👍👍👍! Check it out!!

So Avengers vs X-Men just wrapped up, with AvX: Consequences on the way. Has anyone been following it? If so, what are your thoughts on the matter?

I reckon it started strong, but somehow managed to lose it's momentum (I am trying to write this as spoiler free as humanly possible).

I haven't purchased the last couple of issues. Will do so tonight.

I read that Marvel's relaunching all their titles starting October : http://marvel.com/marvelnow

Marvel NOW! is a 2012 relaunch of several ongoing comic books published by Marvel Comics, scheduled to debut in October 2012 with new #1 issues. One brand new title, Uncanny Avengers is also scheduled to debut with the launch of Marvel NOW! Described as a shifting of the Marvel Universe following the conclusion of the Avengers vs. X-Men storyline, Marvel NOW! entails changes to both the publishing format and the fictional universe to attract new readers. Publishing changes include new creative teams for each of the titles and the in-universe changes include changes to character designs and new storylines.

Not all of them, just some. I think that they gradually will be doing this. I am don't know if I am going to be getting any of the new titles. I already have so many and none of mine are getting cancelled soon, it seems. Perhaps when Before Watchmen ends, I'll get some of the Marvel titles that start in January/February.

Are you going to get any?

I will if they relaunch , so many arcs have become so mixed and convoluted over time .
As for AVX it was good not their best work , I think it was more of a trail run for the Marvel AR app

Yeah, and a platform for them to change many story lines at once.
Also, Superior Spider-Man launches in January as the flagship Spider-Man book...maybe I'll get that.

On another note, I started reading the Underwater Welder by Jeff Lemire. What a book!

Can you maybe clear this up for me. Are they basically converting the Amazing Spider-man title into Superior Spider-Man. As in there will no longer be an Amazing Spider-Man comic?
