Guild Wars 2

They have a nasty AoE ! i found out the hard way! Also those damn Huntards with their spike traps!

Jip those spike traps are really annoying.....

And agreed the AoE is really hard to handle, but we had played a Necro and 2 Ele's, a Bandit and a warrior in the dungeon. 1 Ele for Fire Damage and I played Water for Healing and Earth to remove the conditions it sorta worked although playing support is kinda like kissing your granny.... But as soon as I switced to support it made a big difference to keep everyone alive, Earth also works quite well on stacking bleeding as an Ele and tanking so learned alot with that.

And yet I still see folks shouting out things like "Need tank for AC!!" :p

Just started a Guard and enjoying it fair bit more than Warr. Anyone reckon shield is worth it? I miss passive defensive stat stacking like in DAoC meh. Seems a bit pointless

I was stuck for like 30+ mins trying to get the group in one instance for Twilight Arbor, we had 3 people in Instance A and 2 in Instance B. After trying loads of things we managed to get 4 in Instance A and then just had the last person try stuff, one of the things that "worked"
was: zone in -> zone out -> relog -> zone in, but it could've been random as well.

Will probably try and do Sorrow's Embrace tonight if all goes well, I'm really liking the dungeons(Only did them story mode so far).

Been playing a Necromancer and really love it their great fun. So far have done the...is it the Ascalon Catacomb dungeon that's lvl 30? It's quite hard but fun none the less. And jumping puzzles are great! :)

It's named Guild Wars, but I'm not part of any guild as of yet... 1st getting to know the ins and outs of the game, then I'll join a guild. Playing at my own pace and discovering this on my own (for now)... Allowing me to get used to the way things are working for now.

Noob alert! :p

Well ... as someone was quick to point out somewhere on Reddit - the name has very little to do with the Guilds as we use them (since we as Guilds aren't engaged in active warfare with each other), and is more related to the lore of the game.

Well joining up with a guild usually helps since you have people around to ask about things and figure stuff out. :)

Hagan, in a guild you can go your own pace, Im about 20Levels behind most of the guys but having fun none the less!

Soon I'll be joining in on the fun, managed to scrape up some cash and some ebucks. My order from Takealot is on it's way :D

What do you think Guilds like force you to do stuff?
Most of our guilds play there own pace but me, isengard, cronos and weeman and fudi play together seeing as we have more or less the same pace, also making it awesome we can take on champions and veterans without much fear.

I am a newbie player we also got another one called britz but as soon as he joined he learned stuff to make the game a bit easier to manage.

Also way behind everyone but enjoying the time i have to play. Me and my brother are both quite casual at the moment with GW2 but we would like to be involved with a guild. You guys know of any good guilds with openings for casuals?

Southern Legion or the Mygaming guild as well as the Sorted guild are all SA players on Aurora Glade. So try any of them. There are threads in theMMO forum about them.
