I see that they at least got rid of the assholes who worked at BTGames in Canal Walk. Jesus. Walking into that store was a nightmare simply because the cashiers were such condescending douchebags.
The guys at Tygervalley are nice, but the shop itself screwed up two of my online orders in the past, so I don't shop with BTGames unless I absolutely can't help it.
What? But on another note, I suggest you ditch BTgames, they are horrible . Try takealot.com , their prices are a bit lower and they have a free delivery option (to your front door) for the majority of games.
They aren't always cheaper, still shop between the 2. My only issue with delivery is that I can't check out stuff before signing. Generally the guys waves the board in your face and then leaves but that signature means that everything is there and correct. The last time the guy wasn't interested in waiting for things to be done correctly, thus why I prefer the in store pick up.
Well I know Takealot has a free returns policy if something is broken. You just phone them and they send a courier to collect the damaged goods. I would assume other places have something similar, depends though.Parcel insurance would be a great thing then. I wonder what e-commerce retailers/courier companies' policy on damaged goods are.
Yeah, their customer service is incredibly shitty. I don't use them even if they've got good specials on certain games.
I've heard so many stories about in-store service levels. Sounds like they can't be bothered to train their staff in customer interaction - just hire some brats that are looking for a holiday job.
I also once stepped in to advise a customer on behalf of one of the staff, because the staff was just spewing nonsense.
I have also spoken to a few of them that really have no clue what they were on about. I wonder if BT Games are aware of what customers think of some of their stores' customer service?

I buy most of my games at BT games and I really don't have a problem with their customer service
You must be special.
You must be special.
Or its a marketing fact that people generally bitch about bad service but hardly anyone talks about good service. Face it how many threads start with "X has really great service" vs "X is the worst company ever"?
So true. I suppose within that framework, the less bad stories you hear about a company, the better its service is?
