BT games

I go into BT Games stores, they never have any second hand PS3 games. The Tygervalley shop did recently start selling Magic the Gathering cards though, and are selling Dark Ascension cards for quite cheap! R30 boosters, R95 Intro packs and R150 Event Decks...

I see that they at least got rid of the assholes who worked at BTGames in Canal Walk. Jesus. Walking into that store was a nightmare simply because the cashiers were such condescending douchebags.

The guys at Tygervalley are nice, but the shop itself screwed up two of my online orders in the past, so I don't shop with BTGames unless I absolutely can't help it.

Yup those where the ones. "The scene" I caused was when an older man asked for advice and they started laughing at him.

What? But on another note, I suggest you ditch BTgames, they are horrible . Try takealot.com , their prices are a bit lower and they have a free delivery option (to your front door) for the majority of games.

They aren't always cheaper, still shop between the 2. My only issue with delivery is that I can't check out stuff before signing. Generally the guys waves the board in your face and then leaves but that signature means that everything is there and correct. The last time the guy wasn't interested in waiting for things to be done correctly, thus why I prefer the in store pick up.

I only really use BT games when I want to pay cash and pick it up from the store (Pavilion, Durban) other than that I normally go with takealot or kalahari. Can't say I've ever had problems with BT though, apart from their site being terrible.

Parcel insurance would be a great thing then. I wonder what e-commerce retailers/courier companies' policy on damaged goods are.

Well I know Takealot has a free returns policy if something is broken. You just phone them and they send a courier to collect the damaged goods. I would assume other places have something similar, depends though.

Yeah, their customer service is incredibly shitty. I don't use them even if they've got good specials on certain games.

Yea just gonna ditch the online store and go retail but what store's would sell starcraft 2 can't seem to find it

I've heard so many stories about in-store service levels. Sounds like they can't be bothered to train their staff in customer interaction - just hire some brats that are looking for a holiday job.

I also once stepped in to advise a customer on behalf of one of the staff, because the staff was just spewing nonsense.

Yes it would but that signature means that you are happy with the goods everything is there. So unless something is faulty technically you have no recourse because you just said everything was there and correct. See the issue and not every delivery boy gets these legal issues, they just want you to sign.

I have also spoken to a few of them that really have no clue what they were on about. I wonder if BT Games are aware of what customers think of some of their stores' customer service?

Don't think they really give a shit to be honest. Gamers want their games.

I hope not, paints a bad pic of management if they are ignoring their faults.
Still I like the guy at Atterbury, can't say I've had issues there.

I buy most of my games at BT games and I really don't have a problem with their customer service

You must be special.

Or its a marketing fact that people generally bitch about bad service but hardly anyone talks about good service. Face it how many threads start with "X has really great service" vs "X is the worst company ever"?

So true. I suppose within that framework, the less bad stories you hear about a company, the better its service is?

I had a text book on marketing but that course was 2 years ago and it made no impact on my life until now. Guess I should have paid attention.

I know they had a theory on customer service and customer experience but I just know it exists.
