Nope Dee as a female in this geeky world, yes I see the stuff that happens all the time. But what pisses me off is that they make it sound like it only happens in the geek world. But it happens to most of us on a daily basis. I just get tired of the whiny crap

Ok, so I made a good decision by cancelling my order :D
I would say so. Chaos had better routers for the same price. But my flatmate was in charge of buying the router and... well lets just say for such a supposedly intelligent guy he can be a real dumbass some times. And for someone that works in IT support he can be very retarded when it comes to hardware

Haha! Well my first warning bell was the price, was a little cheap for what it has. Kalahari had it for R329. I must say the Asus is great, only gripe is when making any changes rebooting the router takes its time. If yours goes on the fritz look at the asus: http://www.asus.com/Networks/ADSL_Modem_Routers/DSLN12U_B1/

Yip same here. I always buy top end PC parts, and I have never had a box fail on me. Touch wood.
yeah the only thing I have ever had to replace on my pc because it broke was 1 14" CRT monitor and 1 set of Turando speakers, but only because they were REALLY old. and one or 2 roms, but they don't build those things like they used too

i have had a cpu fail on me, albeit it was an old athlon 64, a seagate 1.5 tb drive and some dodgy ram @ esquire
oh yeah, I lost a couple of hdd's, but they were quite old as well, and one was a maxtor so it was just doomed from the start.

dude I knew in college lost a cpu as well, but only because he decided it was dirty, so he took it out to "blow the pins clean" then stuck it back in the board and watched it fry. he was studying A+ btw.

other guy didn't know there should be isolation gel between the cpu and the heatsync... also a A+ student come to think of it...

bunch of windowlickers that went to Prestige. we graphic/web students were more clued up than some of those okes :p
