The Official "MyGaming" Anime Thread

The RAW files for Berserk parts 1 and 2 are available on nyaa.eu as 1 torrent, so I would expect the second movie to be subbed in the near future.
I have yet to see it myself. Been waiting half a year for it now.

If anyone finds it anywhere else, let me know, else I will wait for it to come out on nyaa.

As for the release date for movie 3, according to Wikipedia, it should be coming out on 1 February 2013. If my assumption is correct that it will be released in theaters first, then it will only be translated and made available once the Blu-Ray comes out. Let's hope that will be sooner than later.

Another movie which I really want to see which I have been waiting eagerly for is ÅŒkami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki (also known as The Wolf Children Ame and Yuki)

It looks to be a very interesting story to say the least.

It was subbed and released on December 20 2012. Raw's have been available since about the 15/16th of December.

Yep, its in the 3rd movie. The anime ended there, but I hope the movie goes further, maybe start with the 3rd Arc.

Seems that it's the start of his ascent(descent?), and it took two films to set up the base story for everything, hopefully they don't compress or rush anything, so there may even be a fourth film!!

I seem to have missed that... I am particularly waiting for Commie to sub it though, as they usually have decent translations, as oppose to what I have heard about the ones which are currently available. But if they don't sub it then I will give P3 a try.

Finished watching Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann last night. I thoroughly enjoyed it beyond measure:D, now on to Bakemonogatari and Black Lagoon

They made 2 films from TTGL, but alas they where simply compressed versions of the series. There were also DVD/BD only releases, they are music video's done for the main characters of the show. Nothing exciting.

So far this season, Hakkenden - Eight Dogs of the East, Cuticle Detective Inaba, BAKUMATSU GIJINDEN ROMAN and Amnesia seems to be descent. Everything else seems to be leaning on the "Magical Girl" genre (Card Captor Sakura or Sailor Moon).

You missed all the harem series airing this season :p

OreShura, Haganai S2 ... the season's fanservice epic Senran Kagura :D

Not too much this season that takes itself too seriously - I haven't dived into Amnesia yet because I detect hints of reverse harem going there (with all the drama that implies - it's josei after all).

But at least Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo and Shin Sekai Yori are still going. I'm enjoying both of them immensely; I've always been a fan of the Minami-ke franchise and Love Live! seems like something worth relaxing to, if you don't mind the pop music. Maoyuu Maou Yuusha is also looking fairly interesting.

Stuff from last season which I am currently following is Sakurasou na Pet no Kanojou of course :P, I just can't get enough of that show... and another is Psycho Pass. I find that to be mind-bending and I can't wait to watch the next episode. Then there's Bakuman 3 of course. Magi is a show from last season which I can't stop watching, the setting and the story, I like how they mixed up elements from old stories such as Aladdin and Sinbad to make this really intriguing and interesting anime. Robotics;Notes, like Chaos;Head and Steins;Gate is an anime I cannot stop watching. So there are a couple of ongoing anime which are keeping me glued to my screen.

As for the new stuff, Amnesia didn't pull me in from episode 1, but I will give episode 2 a shot before passing judgement. Love Live! looks promising, I really enjoyed watching episode 1 and am going to watch episode 2 after posting this. I am not too sure about Vivired Operation yet, will need to see episode 2 before I can get a proper feel as to what to expect from it, although it looks very sailor moon-ish, with elementary school kids tasked to save the world from the "Alone".

Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shurabasugiru promises to be good if you like harem anime and then there's Chihayafuru season 2 :P

I am not a huge Harem fan, for some reason never appealed to me, I will watch it if the story is good, characters appeal to me and it's funny. Beyond that, I am not really watching for the fan service. Maybe I'm getting old, or maybe I just haven't seen enough to enjoy it yet. Seems like I am very selective these days with that I watch and can lose interest very easily.

Finally Code Geass is getting a R2 BD release. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Code-Geass-...ef=sr_1_1?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1358317961&sr=1-1 at £26 it's a really good deal!

/sees very wide list of Anime's unheard of:eek:

/takes deep breath

You guys just mentioned a lot of series I haven't even heard of, it's time to get that friend of mine to hook me up... I'll get there:D.

 But... Uhm... Wow!

I'd like to see which of those you highly recommend.

It really depends on your taste. I'm unlike Glordit in that I will watch pretty much anything that catches my interest, and my interest is pretty broad really. So you'll see a mix of comedy, drama, romance, slice-of-life, sci-fi, school drama, romantic drama, mystery, horror, and even things that are more targeted at a female audience.

I'll even sometimes finish watching things I utterly hate, which is why my Dropped Series list is so short.

Maybe your favorites of each of the genres you just mentioned:)

Oh ... errr ... wow ... that's a tall ask :D Specifically because I'd feel compelled to give reasons, but that would turn into a novel, so let's try this.

A few years ago, I did some articles on my personal favourites that you can try and read. Keep in mind that this one was written two years ago, and I've watched a lot since then, so it would look entirely different if I had to write it today.

As a matter of fact I wouldn't even try - it's too hard :D

Haha! Shadow I am noticing a large interest in the "mahō shōjo" genre on that list :p I will admit that they are all awesome series (not too sure about Kampfer, have not seen it yet)

Which one? The myAnimelist one?

I'll admit I've seen quite a few Mahou Shoujo shows, but there are tons of them out there. Funnily enough I still have to see Puella Magi Madoka Magica, but I've been putting it off forever.

My all time favourite is still Clannad though.

My "To watch" is now filled with anime from this list and shadowfox's top 10 (animated-meanderings) and highly rated (from myanimelist)

I wonder if I should start with Sword Art Online or Bakemonogatari since I have them already :?
