Battlefield 3 PC discussion thread MK II

Well, shit.
I tried all the above mentioned advice, but no success. Origin's help is not. But thanks for responding, one guy even posted for the first time after several years of lurking in the shadows.
It is as if BF is punishing me for playing COD.
Or, more likely, EA suck. I mean even Ubisoft, who does not rate very high on my list, released the patches for FC3 in a separate downloadable format. I mean, how difficult is that. But right from the start I had problems with Origin, BF3 and my internet connection.
Yes, I know my internet connection is not the best, but its the only option. Its too much effort to install landlines to SA's only fighter base, which just happen to have some spiffy modern aircraft.
My only last remaining option is to try and convince the WISP to allow me to connect to the MWEB lines, although he uses this for the capped users and we bumped heads in the past about my excessive use of the lines. Even that is not a guarantee though.
One day, after the "incident", please make people aware that its not games themselves that drive a person to do that, its the terrible support provided(or not provided).

I might actually consider playing Bf3 again... If I can get the patch to download.
It downloads... Sort of... But I'm never sure... Since...
I download 5MBs of data. Remove data downloaded from folder and replace it with the 22.6GB worth of files.
I then resume the download, and it begins downloading from 15GBs. Now, how in the flying fuckery does that happen.
So I cannot determine it's actual downloaded (size) amount.
I check the folder and it simply does away with 400MBs for no reason, hence I'm left with 22.2GBs.
I don't understand WTF is going on? It was downloading the 8GB patch last week, before my USBs crashed. After which the same downloading principles continued.
Any ideas?

On another note looks like bvd and 2 SSG players will be representing SA in the Clan base cup held in the next few days. GL SA. This was done after playoffs held last Sunday.

Most servers are really dormant actually. Almost everyone has moved on. Just the main hub servers and a few clan servers see regular Leet vs. Noob rapes.

So it would seem. I'm still not too happy that BF4 will arrive before BC 3, or BF 2143 (I understand the strategy behind it though)... *sigh* I'll probably still get it at launch when it eventually comes around
