As pointed out, the large empty spaces are where adverts go. Adverts keep the site operating. Every time you block an advert, one of the MyGaming kittens dies ;_; Without the MyGaming kittens, Jeremy won't have a reason to come into work each day (he subsists mainly on kittens and small insects).

Luckily ads are only blocked on firefox. (Use it mostly for work) and chrome is my go to browser for mygaming. No ads blocked there. :)
 
I like the new look. @axon, I see ads in those spaces. Are you maybe blocking them?

People were commenting on the font, but Verdana is a pretty standard web font. Nothing wrong with it I think.

One thing that might be nice is to get all the sections lining up nicely. I've drawn in lines for the major vertical sections, and made circles where things could be aligned, or where there are odd gaps

I like the new layout, it looks good. My only gripe is that the old problem of not being able to open up tabs from the banner has returned. Fix that and it's perfect!
 
A webpage refresh is *always* good. It's cleaner, more practical, and content is easily distinguished. I'll have to test it out on mobile still.
If I come across any issues, I'll post.

Does whatever your using for the add revenue pick up if they are blocked? If so i will unblock the domain in the name of saving kittens.

New layout looks good, also ... small insects come in where?

Would that make him like a bug taster. :D

Ad blockers prevent the images from being loaded, and if the images don't load they don't count impressions. Impressions = Money
 
I'm not a big a fan of the font as mentioned previously and I also don't like the size of the social media extensions above the articles. It looks kinda blown up. Maybe a shirt to the bottom would look better or at least try shrinking them a bit smaller.

However saying that I do like the layout of the new front page and the size of the pictures, defiantly keep the forum page links at the bottom of the page. Lastly the extra links and top articles section help with user friendliness and place more info at hand which I also love.
 
I Like it, however the black for the top 5 news stories should probably be grey. the black is a bit 'out-of-sync" with the rest of the page.

Also, where the hell did you guys get the tablet? I've been looking everywhere for one.
 
There is a black bar just above the site name and the advert at the top of this page. But it might just be Firefox related
 
It's okay, but I think the actual articles are a bit too cluttered. Like here, for example.

There's too much going on around the actual text of the article that draws your attention away from it. The social media buttons should either be downsized or the font size should be upsized. When I open the page as it is, my attention is not immediately drawn to the actual article, it's drawn to all the clutter around it.
 
Just to add more of my comments in here:

I like the new article pages. Much more fun to read on than the older ones were. Graal has a point, sometimes there is a little clutter around the body text...perhaps a subtle container could be added around the text?
 
Don't really have a strong opinion either way - some things better, some worse - it's the content that matters most to me.

Yeah, thats what I tried to say with the social media buttons being too big.
 
I had to go with 3 - its meh.
The new font is bad.
The bigger "top articles" on frontpage is nice.
The bigger "other articles" is less nice. Makes the page hard to browse on smaller screens.

The colour changes aren't really a factor for me, but does help somewhat with readability.


Alltogether: the nett result for me is pretty balanced. Just enough yay, mixed with just enough nay = meh.
 
Admittedly. I never go the the Front Page, 'cause my bookmark is set straight for the forum. But, I can still remember what it used to look like :)

Now: It looks clean, vibrant and user-friendly :)

Nice job on the new look btw ;):)
