Dota 2

Pssh:D. At 57 hours I'm below average . Still learning the heroes, haven't covered even half of them. At this point I'm still learning from a few more pro buddies of mine, pubbing with them, or trying out builds on bots, spectating their games, I also watch the odd youtube vid guides from purge, and a lot of the hero guides on steam are pretty helpful.

Did you play any before Dota2?

I'm a pretty average player in DotA2.
How much time split would you guys that are more proficient at the game say you do between.

Watching your own replays.
Watching pro streams.
Practicing last hitting.
Pubbing.
Scrims.

I play loads of LoL and the wealth of information from pro streams really takes you to a new level.
In Dota2 it just feels like the meta game has so much more freedom that it is harder for me to pick up techniques from simply watching pro's play.

So I'd like to see where ya'll go to improve kinda thing.

I watch a lot of live games and replays, at night when I get home I usually watch some of my pro mates play.
It does help a lot, watching your own replays to see where you stuffed up and where a dif combo/attack would have worked better helps a lot as well. I don't get much time to play though, but such is life.

Nope. Dota 2 is literally where I started.

I msut admit i have noticed a huge improvement after you have played a hero a few times... only complaint is Y U NO ULTI :p but yeah once you have played a hero a few times it becomes much easier to play them

Meh, I should pull in with you guys sometimes.

I love playing support with harras. Witch Doc is a fav.
Just need to work on my micro and I can give Chen some love.

The ulti issue comes up when I'm using a new hero for the 1st time:P as I'm juggling how each skill works tactically. Take Treant for instance, I played him for the 1st time with you, couldn't really get the hang of him til late mid game (too late:D), with my 2nd game using him, I'd improved drastically (even ulti timing, spamming heals, and tanking like a boss:p). The only Hero I'm actively wary of ulting with is surprisingly my most successful hero, Crystal Maiden.
