A friend went to the air show and he said he really enjoyed holding the guns he played with in BF3.
Personally, do I mind the companies get a cut for trademark stuff. Not really.
A producer`s are not responsible for what an individual does with their product.
As a side note on generalized human behavior. Look at kids even before they really know whats happening:
Boys want to build, break, shoot, design, race, punch ,kick, jump of rooftops (COD,NFS,BF3)
Girls make tea,play with dolls, do makeup, have imaginary husbands and kids (Sims/MMO/Facebook crap games)
We are a defined by how we are brought up, the what and how of our individual experiences.
We age but fundamentally we keep some of the core we grow up with. We like realism, even in a fictitious scenario. That`s why I think it`s important to teach good fundamentals and allow certain things with certain age groups.
Some people end up a bit skew and can lead to all kinds of disasters with anything.
The video makes some valid points though.
