Its an easy comment that isn't really spam, I'm sure I'll also be a victim
 
I know I will get a lot of flak for this but I honestly I think the TK thread should be excluded from this competition.
The TK thread is filled with the regulars and if they only post there without adding anything to the rest of the forum their "posts" are a lot more on say any given day than the average regular poster in other threads simply because they are not as active.

(I am going to post this in the suggestion thread as well as this post belongs there as well, reason for posting here is for a competition this size I feel this is fair and important to note).

I 100% agree with this. Thread Killer is basically a chat room, I have almost no doubt someone who posts in there is going to win again.

I agree TK random posts shouldnt even count towards the competition count.

@Eugene dont think that will happen been checking the top 25 and they seem to be people who post in other threads besides TK

More seriously, though, I don't see the issue with the 'rules'. They did say they'd look at the posts made by users and disqualify those that are making what amount to worthless posts, or those simply trying to spam their way to the lead by necroing content or reposting old content (as example, perhaps, posting a new thread about darksiders 1 with no new content/information pertaining to it).

It might also encourage people that don't often, if ever, use this forum, to have a look around and maybe find reason to stick around in the long run. I know I've not actively used the mygaming forums in months, though largely because I haven't taken the time to have a look around and see if there's anything of interest to me. The same could be said for others?

Did encourage me to start posting again when I usually only read, dont see me qualifying but enjoying the chats.

Well, I'll say one thing, this competition has surely got the forums a-buzz. Haven't seen activity like this in ages.
