Mojang’s Scrolls trailer unveiled, open beta imminent

I'm going to wait and see too, but Minecraft is a masterpiece and for the price you pay for it you get so much. Its definitely worth it and I hope this game follows the same trend.

Geez, I sound waaaaaay more douchy in that reply than I intended.. :eek:

What I meant was that I only ever played MC for about 30 minutes. It didn't grab me. It wasn't a particularly memorable 30 minutes. It felt empty and pointless and challengeless. While I can see how others can enjoy that, since I enjoy the structureless fun in Kerbal Space Program, it just didn't feel right to me. If you throw in the fact that I'm not a fan of the extended beta and early access ideas, Mojang didn't do anything to garner a follower in me.

So now, onto Scrolls.. Mojang, thus far, has had one success, and one that's largely sold on the abstract, the idea of what the game does. With Scrolls, that is the part that is a bit vague to me at the moment, and the vagueness hasn't convinced me to care yet. If a review comes along that explains the mechanics to me, and I like it, I might well get excited for it. The other Mojang project,though, 0x10c (or something like that) explained enough of the game mechanics that I'm actually following the progress of the game.

So yeah. We'll see :)
 
I honestly thought it was going to be an open world RPG. (No I wasn't getting confused with Elderscrolls). I'm not sure why i thought it, just saw some artwork ages ago. Im kind of disappointed its a card trading game. And yeah $20 seems a little steep. As avatar said, I will wait for reviews before I decide.
 
I'm just thinking.
If your going to add micro transactions... remove the price tag.

Other than that it looks great.
TCG version of LoL. I'll give it a spin.
