That's what I have and I am quite happy. In fact I'm now selling mine.

Also thinking of getting a new mouse.

Currently have a R.A.T7 Contagion and i think the right click spring is starting to go (either that or i never noticed how easy it is to press)

Actually went for a clicking test and i got it up to 11 clicks per second.

I'm looking at the ROCCAT mice currently.

So it seems my mouse's left click is breaking. does this annoying thing when i click it does nothing or when i drag it opens stuff except when i try to duplicate then its fine. suggestions for gaming mouse R500 max.

You a lefty or a righty? Claw grip or palm?

If you are a FPS gamer you will hang yourself if you overlook the G400 for a couple of bucks. Just get the G400 and be happy like the rest of us

That's a palm grip mouse right?

Wheel looks weird,no grip on it.
it's the new MX518, which was, and still is brilliant

The Logitech software is terrible  Seriously its crashed my nvidia drivers, its obtrusive ,Why does it have to create a fake hid mouse every time.... and it might have broken my Xbox controller link earlier...(that or ccleaner did it).....sigh

How is it without the software? Does the side buttons need it if it'll just be for back/forward?

Everything still works without it, but you cant set your default dpi and mess with various dpi settings.

Standard dpi is 400,800,1800,3600 you can scroll up and down to select but then you have no idea of knowing what its on unless you count how any times you click.

Im getting used to it,shutting down for the morning now...will try later and see if its stopped its crap.

While the LGS is crap, those nVidia driver crashes are actually nothing but nVidia driver crashes. Roll back to the 310.90 drivers if you've gotten the latest 32x.xx ones, unless you're running a GTX600-series card and need to benefit from the performance increases in the handful of games they've optimized for recently.

Also, *rubs G700* It's 300 more than your silly G400s, hah!

I just don't know about gaming mice anymore, you guys. I had the Razer Inperator for only 12 months before it perished. Left click button started double-clicking when I pressed it once. I think mice go through so much that it might just be best to get a cheap one. Anyone else consider this? Im currently using some Samsung thing. It has 5 buttons, high dpi and a large grip surface... it was only R150. Who needs frivolous software that doesn't even work? Or ugly LEDs on the mouse for that matter!

3-year warranty on a mouse that Logitech will gladly ship out a replacement for free of charge?
Even with its issues, I'll take my G700 thanks. It also just got replaced with the G700s which apparently has improved microswitches that are (supposedly) meant to be less prone to the only issues the G700 really presented with - namely losing click-and-hold functionality from hairs getting inside the mouse.

The LEDs also serve to notify you of the power level the battery has left as well as which profile or DPI setting you're on, so they're useful to have.

anyone have or use a rat 3? the more expensive mice actually don't look comfortable they look bulky with all those programmable buttones then again looks can be deceiving.

i have had the RAT 7 since it came out in 2010 i think and I still love it.
only thing i can say is need a good mousepad. I Had to take a while to get used to it but never looked back

thats abit fail that it crashed software >< now you cant even set the DPI on the mouse
