why is it going to be this fail wtf

Ja, that little info block sums it all up. It just confirms all the issues we were afraid of.

I am curious to see what Sony brings to the table, but I can't see that it would be any worse than this (I'm hoping for better).

yea well im sure they will fix it. People are hating the Xbox one but what i see happening is when it comes out people will love it.

Most people hate change. I think what they trying to do is source out piracy. idk how i feel about the other things. The always online thing for some is bad but others that play online would not phase them. Its a very odd situation to be in.

I'm not sure how it's going to turn out. We'll see how all this plays out, but I can see an opportunity for Sony (and maybe Nintendo) to take a large market share away from Microsoft.

I don't see why they feel the need to put in such draconian measures as piracy isn't such a big problem on consoles - it seems that they are only doing it to prevent second-hand sales.

I hope you're all looking forward to our future with the Xbone.

Citizen, your console has reported that you have not used it for 48 hours or more. Return to your console before there is... trouble.

Second-hand disc-based games

Allowing second-hand game trade-in will a decision left up to the publisher of the game.
3rd-party publishers may opt in or out of supporting game resale, setting up the business terms or transfer fees.
Microsoft as a publisher will allow gamers to give games to friends or trade in.
Microsoft will not charge a fee to consumers, retailers or publishers for enabling transfer of second-hand games.
Microsoft included a caveat saying they could change their mind about any of this when they feel like it.

So its gonna be exactly like sony. They won't block second hand games but they are leaving it up to publishers to decide.

The other shit doesn't bother me.
They should have just cleared this shit up at their announcement.

Wow, can almost hear the sounds that ED 209 makes. It was about as reliable as the Kinnect as well if I recall correctly.

And as is the case here in Safrica, if Telkom has a wobble and your line is down for a week or two, you can't even use your R8k console ....... yeah ........ no ....... pass.

No I'm sorry, MS won't change any of the major features on this. It's pretty much been designed as a home media centre, it's not about gamers anymore.

It's very sneaky that they have fobbed the used-game-tax onto the seller now. People will just be less likely to resell their games now.
