Telkom Uncapped

I get 190-210 ping while playing dota 2 -eu servers. Downloads are fine too :)...torrents are okay at night.
4mb uncapped

Its the Samsung 32 inch EH6030 3d tv want to use it along with my lg 3d bluray player and my laptop so happy it has 2 hdmi ports :D

My emails have also been delayed by a day or two been getting emails of friend requests which already happened 2 days back :p.

Haha seems we have the same issue, also got a delayed friend request :P. Gratz on the tv, no need to tell you to enjoy it :p. Hopefully you use 3d more than I do, probably 5 movies and never again :/

Thanks it was mostly more for when my nephews come over so they can watch some movies in 3d and to enjoy for when I upgrade my laptop to 3d for games in the future so pretty much for future proofing and my nephews :D.
 
Nice thread. I got my Telkom 2 mbps uncapped account just yesterday, and so far I'm impressed with the performance. Good to see its not that bad a performer.

Nope, but my line was active from the very beginning of the month, so that helped.

One thing I've been noticing on the line though, my speed is great and performance good during the day and after midnight, but between about 17:00 to midnight, speed drop and performance becomes a big problem...

Strange I have been having problems with my capped Telkom account recently and have to restart my router to fix it temporarily yet my Afrihost account works perfect.

Hmm, let me restart my router and see...

EDIT: So its a day and night difference. Now that the router is restarted, I clearly see a difference in performance of the line. Will this be due to ISP? I only took Telkom because the DSLAM I connect to is one of the new fangled VDSL DSLAM's, so my thought was that the service I get will be good enough...

Probably ISP related with whatever DNS it uses or something
 
I've had some issues with my telkom capped account as well. These past few nights i had to restart my router for the problem to go away. I only really noticed it not working because my ps3 wouldn't sign into my account but my openweb account would work perfectly fine.

Yesterday I thought I had an issue, did the usual router restart and everything just to notice my dropbox was syncing... :/
Result now:
same as yesterday :D

Dropbox was also causing my problems when my mom was uploading photos automatically on her phone :p.

finally had time yesterday to change my adsl to the 2mb uncapped option from Telkom! now to go and test it tonight :D
