Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

Has anyone learned materia yet?

I see you need at least a lvl19 disciple of the hand.I don't know what the 3rd requirements is though (I'm not even sure if there is a third requirement but so far i have had to speak to 2 of the 3 materia students to learn it)

I think Unsane can do materia now...but not sure if its worth it just yet. I think Ill only start bothering when I get my class armour....in mean time im collecting materia from gear I break down...

Once im 50 on main class Ill start with crafting again...crafting is a drag in this game...you have to level all crafts to be able to craft, or each person much level together and focus on one craft to feed others...

It's bothersome indeed,especially the lvl20+ crafts.

I'm seeing high lvl crafters walking around and asked for tips here and there, most seem to just buy their materials from the market form groups like you mentioned.

well it seems that making gil is not really an issue..Im on almost 100k gil, just from quests and a few guild hests. If u need gil guild hests are an awsome income for first time runs...for about2-3 first time runs you make almost 10k gil. Soty line quests are also very good, get lotsa those things you trade for gil, am getting some now worth .25k gil per piece.

Would probably be the fastest way..otherwise you haev to level each damn craft to get anyways..taking much long. :( Thats why im gonna focus on crafting once my main toon is as 50...

Doubt it's worth it now. You replace your gear quite often so getting materia before 50 seems like a waste to me.

Lol...yeah soz shrike..gets crazy in there at times :)

As far as I know, our website is nearing completion....and I believe it will be including a forum board :) So stay tuned

In the meantime, most of our communication is done Via the Facebook page...which I'm sure you have already liked or visited :)

Fee l free to grab one of the founders to confirm this next time you on TS :) ie: Unsane, Blackswan, Rehab or Toki

There is a lot in the works at the moment, some very exciting stuff I have heard of :) But cant say anything about.... So stay tuned ;)

Healed for the first time today on my SCH. Best choice I ever made leaving my WHM and going scholar. It is SO much more fun and with a lot of options and tactics.

After reading the guide to Brayflox I was apprehensive about healing it as a scholar, seeing as the scholar only gets its effect removal at level 40 and the WHM has it from much earlier, tons of poison in this dungeon.

It turned out to be not bad at all, the fairy kept up with the periodic damage everyone was taking quite well. Only had an issue at the end when the tank kept standing in the cone, had to insta rez him 3 times. Grinding the THM to 26 was well worth the effort.

Dc you should have gotten a quest to get chocobo at lvl 25, but its not part of story quest..story quest just takes you past it...if i remeber corerctly its in Bentbranch meadows in gridania where you pcik it up. Was called "My feisty little chocobo" or something along those lines

It was that but its at lev 20 :P The one you are thinking of bane is the higher one for the attack chocobo.

This quest is found at camp tranquil and opens up at level 30 ;-)

What IRRITATES me SO MUCH about the choco as a fighting pet is:

1. You cannot do leves with it
2. You cannot queue up for dungeons and use it while waiting (this particularly grates my cheese)

Thanks, will go look for the quest.

Also i can't seem to do any leve quests at the adventurers guild.

Something about not being an adventurer or something like that,do you have to do a special quest to unlock leves?

Where do you get the badge for your armor?

Signs of an Old Flame

Before the fall of Dalamud, which would bring about the end of the Sixth Astral Era, a Bombard invasion set ablaze panic in the hearts and minds of the people, threatening to reduce our cities to smoldering rubble and ash. Thanks to a band of adventurers who unwittingly joined the Cascadiers, the igneous invaders were vanquished, and the realm was spared a fiery fate, or so reports had us believe.
There has been talk of sightings around Costa del Sol in eastern La Noscea. However, one must always be wary of the whispers of sailors. Ever wont to make sea hares into giant sea serpents and moat carp into mermaids, their wild fabrications have led many an adventurer to misfortune and abashment. Although these were but simple rumors, I would be remiss to overlook reports now coming in from all corners of the realm. Talk of Bombards has spread like wildfire, and for the first time in five years, the Adventurers' Guild has announced the return of the Moonfire Faire.

The Fallacious Festival Returns

Five long years have passed since the fall of Dalamud, and a new generation of adventurers has taken up arms in the absence of the Warriors of Light. But would they be so foolish as to run headlong into the proverbial oven that is the Moonfire Faire? There's no mistaking the Cascadier officers thronging the streets with their pamphlets, permeating the air with platitudes and empty promises. It may not be long before even you, dear reader, come face to face with these ardent recruiters.
Though times may change, the insatiable desire for exotic garments and gear shall ever persist among adventurers. A sense of yearning can be seen burning bright in their eyes at the mere mention of garbs they would receive in preparation for battle. The Adventurers' Guild is sure to entice adventurers to heed the call of the Cascadiers, but will it be enough? I can only hope the whimsical farce known as Moonfire Faire will both drive off this incendiary incursion and bolster our spirits.
