Went to get a nice cuppa before posting here. I'm not sure how many cups I drink, but I think it's a fair amount.
My everyday coffee is usually House of Coffees, either VIP Gold (medium roast), or Italian (dark roast). I usually prefer a darker roast bean because you get a much better flavour. Woolies has quite a nice dark roast called Roma Espresso. Mocca Java is supposed to be a good choice if you're making
cappuccino, but I find it a bit weak because it's quite a light roast.
At work, they get the Bean There coffee, which is big on fair trade for poor coffee farmers in africa, so it's coffee from Ethiopia, Rwanda, Kenya, etc.

Interestingly, since I stopped drinking instant coffee, I've also gone off having sugar in my coffee, although I do still have a bit of milk. I usually steam the milk when I'm making at home because my wife likes cafe latte's, so I'm steaming some milk anyway.
In terms of making coffee, at work we have one of these, which is awesome, and does the whole bean to cup thing. It also makes espresso's, which are not quite proper espresso's, but are nice and strong, and if I put 3 of them in a cup, makes for a nice strong proper cup of coffee.

I looked up the price once, and at around R20K, it's way too much for home.
So at home I have one of these, which is much more effort to make coffee because it means I have to grind my own beans, and wash out the little filter basket after each cup, but I can still make proper coffee at home.
I don't often drink instant coffee these days, but if I do, it's usually Douw Egberts, Jacobs, or Nescafe Classic.
