Coffee drinkers unite

And that tolerance is a terrible thing for someone that might need coffee for it's stimulating effect...

I drink decaf, partly because I don't want the stimulating effect of caffeine but mostly because the caffeine gives me a gastritis.
I haven't tasted a decaf coffee that tastes good enough to drink it without sugar:cry:
Whenever I drink a normal cup, it's either Douwe Egberts, or...can't remember the other one's name, something with an 'A'....Antigua something? Can't remember now.
When I go hiking I take along the blue 3 in 1 Enrista packets.

lol I don't get cravings.

Edit: withdrawal symptoms :o

It's been some time now since I've ingested store-bought coffee. For some reason, my ulcerated stomach can only tolerate Espresso (bizarre, but true). :( That, and the fact that my taste seems to have evolved from the good ol' all-you-can-drink M&B filter coffee days. My favourite brands by far would be Lavazza and Illy. However, I'm only really able to drink one cup in the morning these days. :)

Lavazza is my favourite brand for espresso / cappucino, but we got a bean grinder recently. It makes the BEST filter coffee by far. We've had a Delonghi machine for ages and never used it - the coffee tasted bland. A friend recommended we grind our own beans and, since doing that, we've been huge fans of our beloved Delonghi. :D The only instant coffee I'll drink is the Nescafe Espresso one...

Instant Jacobs. A lot of the companies I go to have the most horrible filter stuff so its better to just drink solid instant.

If I've got access to good filter and time then a large cup with a decent spoon of condensed milk in it works.

And.... I have no idea what you guys are talking about! lol although I'd like to pretend to be sophisticated and be able to talk about expensive coffees... :(

I love coffee. I have a Nespresso machine which is damn awesome and have one of those a day, random flavours. But as far as instant goes, I use Nescafe gold.

Jacobs is OK, but I prefer Douwe Egberts myself. Especially Columbia and Pure Indulgence. In fact, I think it's time I indulge in a cup right now...

I forgot Davidoff Cafe, but that's kak expensive so we only buy it about once every two months.

I'm going to try Douwe Egberts some time.

This thread made me got me thirsty enough for a cup of Jacobs coffee :D

/subscribes to thread...

I drink anything from 5 to 10 cups a day. Just depends on my mood and how it tastes on the day. I enjoy it strong, hot, black and a wee bit of sugar. No milk.

I haven't found a favourite yet, but I would start world war three if I got serve frisco or anthing similar *spits*

At work they have installed a coffee machine which grinds the beans before making the sloo. I am quite addicted to an espresso + normal coffee in a cup. Just makes it a bit stronger :D and the taste is awesome. Unfortunately, the taste is also moreish.

My only problem is that too much and it corrodes my tummy big time. I suppose every addiction comes with its downsides.

/sips whiskey and thinks of next cup

I drink about 5 mugs of coffee a day (my mug is about 500ml ) I have an Nespresso machine that I was given as a present and after a while found myself having like 10 a day and realising how much more expensive each trip to the Nespresso shop was getting and so stopped that. then I started using the cheaper brand pods in the Nespresso but found that actually they are terrible and normal Nescafe is better. I must say though that I prefer store bought cupuccinos, Gloria Jeans being my fav although I haven't tried that many places.

To be honest i am not one of those that frequent the coffee stand, however in my short life on earth i have noticed (at work) my colleagues who don't smoke / drink red bull do drink a lot of coffee.

In saying this i actually think its a scapegoat for getting away from the desk + ofc the addiction to it.

Yeah, this sucks big time. I can drink 1 cup a day, more than that and it feels like I'm going to die:(

Drank a cup of Kenna Everyday Blend this afternoon, was quite good:)

I slowed down on the coffee, used to have 3-4 mugs a day.
Started drinking to Rooibos.

But I still love coffee,my fav is Jacobs Kruning, then my bro buys grounded coffee beans at a store and make it in a plunger, mmmm.

Went to get a nice cuppa before posting here. I'm not sure how many cups I drink, but I think it's a fair amount.

My everyday coffee is usually House of Coffees, either VIP Gold (medium roast), or Italian (dark roast). I usually prefer a darker roast bean because you get a much better flavour. Woolies has quite a nice dark roast called Roma Espresso. Mocca Java is supposed to be a good choice if you're making cappuccino, but I find it a bit weak because it's quite a light roast.

At work, they get the Bean There coffee, which is big on fair trade for poor coffee farmers in africa, so it's coffee from Ethiopia, Rwanda, Kenya, etc. http://www.beanthere.co.za

Interestingly, since I stopped drinking instant coffee, I've also gone off having sugar in my coffee, although I do still have a bit of milk. I usually steam the milk when I'm making at home because my wife likes cafe latte's, so I'm steaming some milk anyway.

In terms of making coffee, at work we have one of these, which is awesome, and does the whole bean to cup thing. It also makes espresso's, which are not quite proper espresso's, but are nice and strong, and if I put 3 of them in a cup, makes for a nice strong proper cup of coffee.

I looked up the price once, and at around R20K, it's way too much for home.

So at home I have one of these, which is much more effort to make coffee because it means I have to grind my own beans, and wash out the little filter basket after each cup, but I can still make proper coffee at home.

I don't often drink instant coffee these days, but if I do, it's usually Douw Egberts, Jacobs, or Nescafe Classic.

Since we're posting pics, and pics are always cool, this is what I have :):
The simplicity of it is what I really like.
