So guys who thinks what about the dead space franchise ,I have the first and third game thanks to the origin bundle an i see the second one is on sale on steam.
So is it worth getting that one as well?
1. played about an hour or so, never enjoyed the off should 3rd person mechanic and clunky controls.
2. i gave a skip due to not enjoying the first one.
3. busy playing through but has taken a back seat due to GTA5, though I have started to enjoy it (only about 2hours in).
I recently finished my Dead Space saga thanx to Humble deal. and I must say it was all worth it.
I had 1 and 2 but played them so long ago that replay was in order. Also I did a whole saga properly and that included watching the movies in order as well.
Order I did it:
Dead Space Downfall (movie) Can skip
Dead Space (Game) Must play
Dead Space Aftermath (Movie) Entertaining
Dead Space (Android Game) Can skip but it explains the outbreak in 2
Dead Space 2 (Game) Must play
Dead Space 3 (Game) OK I guess, its more action than the other 2.
Is no 2 worth the play? Hell yes, Its not as scary as no 1 but still has its moments and controls is a hell of a lot better than the 1st one.
Edit: Forgot I also have the Dead Space Salvage graphic novel but that arrived after I played the games so will update if it is worth it or not.
you forgot dead space extraction on the wii

One was great
Two was excellent
Three there is a few things I don't like for example the zealots being made into terrorists, but I'll give it a spin. (of course there is the part of buy the game twice)
Comics was not too bad and even the Books are ok. OK I'm a fan... lol.
I feel your pain irt the series
I was a fan till I played 3. Cool action game, no more a horror
3 Kinda killed the story for me. (Dont wanna go into detail as it will contain spoilers)

I finished DS3 yesterday and must say.. I quite enjoyed it..Not as many scares as the others but a lot of action
So the scare element is reduced for the sake of action?
