Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

We did Garuda again this weekend and came to the conclusion that we don't have the DPS yet to do Titan.

On our DPS side only really the BLM are well geared with mostly darklight and garuda weapons. We need to run quite a few castrum runs this week to gear up our our other DPS to the same level.

But our DPS was stellar during the week last week... I thought all that remained was getting everyone's health up to 3200+.
 
Yea Isen, unfortunately a few of us, me included, still need gear and weapons. I need at least 25 Castrum runs for more gear.

During the week we ran it with 3 of our almost fully geared BLMs in the party. We did not have that this weekend and did not have the dps to beat Garuda. We need to get everyone on Par so that we are not just reliant on those 3 BLMs always being the party.
 
Ah I see, but 25 Castrum runs sounds a bit much for one week. :p

However count me in for a few, want to get my tokens up so I can buy the oil for my relic so long. :)
 
I just tried pugging it, but weirdly I only get crappy pugs for Castrum. I need to WP as well for my hunting log and to just finish it.

Leveling now at lvl 13.
I blame Wyv, and wathcing her doing Garuda at my place.
Looked so cool I had to.

I went with a black mage. Enjoying it a lot. Getting the hang of the buffs now. Didn't see the need until i got more spells. Now it makes much more sense. It does feel a bit laggy though. When I dodge the enemy AOE attacks well in advance they will often still hit me which can be annoying. At least I have not died yet.
 
Yea there are still some syncing issues. You will get used to it :P We are hoping that they will fix it. Lemme know when you guys hit the dungeons - I will come heal for you guys :D

I think I got the the dungeon finder. Its when you grab them quests that have the card above the guys head right?
I gave them a skip for now. Did the solo ones only. I think I can level much faster by running the story line than running dungeons.

My intention was going black mage to level faster then switching to white mage and leveling so I can be a healer.
Just didn't want to try level a pure white mage from the get go. Seemed like i'd gimp myself if i did that.
 
nope the one's with the cards are for Levi's or guildhests. Your story line will force you to do most of the dungeons anyway XD. First one you get is at lvl 15, Satasha.

Ah okay, yeah there were 2 Leve quest givers. I neglected the one. I guess I'll hop back there tonight and try out one of them.
The second one mentioned something about being group focused.

@Glacier...welcome to the madhouse! ;) Im sure you will enjoy it.... Please feel free to yell when you need help with anything, peeps are always willing to help out....makes life a bit easier not trying to get good pug grps.

I think all our BLM's excluding maybe Garrus are geared for Titan....my HP is now over 3200, only other piece of DL i wanna get is the gloves. Am saving for Mythology chest...is a waste to get DL chest because its head and chest together, while Mythology is seperate again. However after the runs I ran this weekend, Im sure my DPS and gear is up for Titan. We just need to help the rest of our peeps reach same lvl. I agree with Val, its no good trying to do something if you dont intened to try finish it...ie: Titan HM. However I think that the peeps that are ready should team up and try pug so we can get experience so long...will speed up guilds learning process a lot. Watching videos is one thing, actually knowing it is another. So we need to get rest of the guys Garuda weapons....for Simi and Yoshi, not sure who else...
So this week, when Im back tuesday night.. (stuck in Vryheid atm) Im gonna focus on getting few more castrum tokens and farming AK. I wanna get DL gloves then start saving for my relic weapon...so 900 tokens.
 
Was nice getting back online and downing Ifrit so easily.
Garuda first run was pretty good, there after, not so much.

The Feather-plumes were wreaking havoc on the pillars and we just couldn't get them down.
Looks like an AOE preference fight.

It is possible to do it with characters who have no aoe. I did it with 2 MNKs, a DRG and a BRD. Just need some serious high level gear.
