Cheers
Dam I really wana get me a cross country! Biking as it is is a hole other world u see, but to be able to do cross country must just be epic. Do u ever do that or only road riding? Why'd u let go of the Suza? It's really great bikes to ride...

She's afraid I'll kill myself as I love speed.
Well tbh speed kills no matter what ur riding, I personally think that the cost involved with speed vs a bike is a lot more in favor of the bike. Have u ever ridden before? Has she? In SA u can get killed in ur own house minding ur own business getting vat in front of the tv on ur lounger, bikes don't kill ppl. If u have some sense of responsibility u will be fine. I love speed too, but there is a time and a place for everything!

My old Suziki sv650s
I dont know if I would have gotten rid of a nice bike like that...

You weren't kidding when you said it looks the same as my old bike!!
Yeah, a little cosmetic damage to the front light but other than that a great dam bike! Real brutal considering it has no factory dampers lol. I have had some tank slappers with that bike man oh man... The moments we can never be grateful enough for hahaha.

I work in Contermanskloof. I have lots of balls with my 4 wheels under me and traction control and many airbags
One can only appreciate raw power when its under ur legs caressing ur balls! It's easy to push a car to its limit, its rather a different thing when a bike pushes u to urs!

Where at Contemans do u work? The quarry? I go hunting there a lot when we do falconry. There is not a pebble on that road that I don't personally know

Not a bike fan, but my dad was and had a Honda cbr750 and use to travel on the back of it when we went to Durban or on bike runs, I have never road a bike myself besides the automatic off road one.
Why u not a fan? Didn't u like the runs? I personally don't like them either, I actually almost never go. I have a group of about personally good friends that plan trips to Knysna and things with and then another 10 guys that usually join up with us Sunday mornings to wake the people up for church

. Off road bikes are a different breed, very unforgiving, scariest I have ever ridden was a 2 stroke 500, nearly shat my pants. And when that power band came in I decided to hand it back to the owner in fear of dying prematurely on my arch enemy the Yamaha!

Let me be the 1st one here to be against bikes.....
Mainly just the damn noise they make early in the morning.
I live in PTA and live next to a busy road in a apartment block, and every morning very early a couple of bikers will wake up the whole street as they fly by in the 60 zone. The Best of all is when this happens a couple of times on a Saturday or Sunday morning from about 4am. It makes me want to get a paintball gun and shoot the Mother@#$@#%@#. But i have lost a couple of my buddies in motorcycle accidents, that might be what is stopping me from doing it.

Damn ichigo, i took to long to proof my message and you beat me to it
I had an old 125cc myself while growing up but stopped riding a bike after losing a couple of buddies.
Yeah it can be a bitch if ur not a biker urself. But I am sure there is more than just bikes that keep u up if u stay on the side of a busy road? I do agree, I don't like bikers that go over 60 in residential areas, it's extremely dangerous for other people... Unfortunatly I can't say I have too much remorse for the Sunday Saturday thing, that early in the morning u will hear a 13 chico golf make a racket with no ambient noises. Dude, shoot them with the paintball gun, nothing will happen lol, just make sure they don't see u unless u know how to kick ass and don't mind being smashed in the face with a helmet, bikers have a tendency to do that, especially common ones which I would like to think are the ones that come racing home in a residential area @ 4am in the morning, I'd be pist too!!
Sorry to hear that u have lost a couple of friends, I have too, not nice... But I have lost a couple of friends in cars too so it just hurts either way. If ur heart isn't with biking its always better not to own a bike anyway so its good that u sold the 125. Maybe one day it bites u again and u start riding, then u come down here to CT and we go for some nice pass riding. Everyone is always welcome!

I bought my bike without knowing how to ride, got a friend to show me the basics, started riding, and it's so much fun, although i mainly use it to get to work and back home, once i feel more comfortable rising long distances, i think i'll try visiting some friends in johburg, just for fun.
a Man after my own heart! Thats the way to do it man!
My father in law came to my house in the middle of the winter 4 years ago and said to me, "Mike I really need to use ur car..." He was an estate agent at the time, going to show a R3.5m house, could not really pitch wet on a bike and then make the nice clean house dirty as he goes along. So back then I owned my dear Focus ST, so I said to him (back then only my girlfriends father) "Uncle Herman, I have clients to see today, I need to get to work..." He says, "Take the blade" I say, "I have never ridden a bike in my life before" he says, "Ur a clever boy, I know u will figure it out." lol, that was my introduction to super bikes lol. Since then I have never looked back a day in my life! What are u riding now? Post a pic
