PlayStation 4 price in SA: it could be worse

Their console prices are ridiculous over there, one of the reasons previous gen consoles do so well. So is our pricing set at R6000+ cause that's about the price of the PS3 6 years ago. Will wait till a slim model comes out though, still need to finish my current backlog

When the PS3 came out it was $599 so no today's pricing is not in-line with what it was back then.

That is my plan as well, wait a bit for the 2nd gen. And try and complete my current ps+ backlog.

R6000 in 2006 compared to R6000 in 2013 are not the same, bringing inflation into the picture.

I'm confused, when you include inflation the 2006 price should increase so it will be more expensive relative to todays prices

Anyone want my old ps 3 :p that's the only way I will be able to get a ps4 unless James is going to have a comp for one :D

I will get it next year when there are more games. At the rate that games are being delayed you are going to have nothing to play on it.

Lol, for how much then guy?

Well it could be exponentially worse. So I suppose that I can still justify getting one eventually

It's ridiculous! It doesn't make sense why Brazil would pay that much. Is the R$ (Brazil Dollar) that weak? I think not.
I'm pretty sure its their import laws and taxes.

When my company ships to Brazil, we disassemble everything and get it reassembled in the country. For some reason thats makes it waaaay cheaper as its not a working product anymore, they're components for a product which are dealt with differently.

After seeing the consoles at R@ge I definitely think I will wait until james gives me one instead of paying that amount
