GTA 5 PC torrent tricks pirates

HAHA! Serves them right.

Conspiracy theory: It's Rockstar checking how many times the game will be pirated and trying to teach those dirty pirates a lesson :D

A colleague here at work downloaded it and comes to me to say, "ok, so I downloaded it for PC now how do I install it?"

He argued with me for about an hour, 'cos I said it is only available on XBOX / PS. Stating that because the torrent said PC it must be for PC. *rolls eyes*

Tell him to send me R300 and I'll give him an answer

Since when is this considered news? Fake torrents are nothing new. More often than not fake torrents for unreleased content are made available months/days in advance of the actual release in order to trick people into doing surveys or installing malware. You'll see this happening with pretty much all content, games, movies, software, television series, etc.

GTA V is a pretty big deal, and this just shows how ignorant people are about the availability of some games. If nothing else, it's good for a laugh at the pirates' expense.

It's funny as hell for one. Also the game hasn't even got a PC release date so the logic to say that GTA V on PC isn't even a thing so I'll download the pirated version is pretty scary. I could get over a fake torrent for GTA IV but not V. Maybe I should make a fake torrent for Harry Potter 9 return of the followers and see what happens

if you're dumb enough to believe you are downloading a legit copy of the GTA V pc version, you should not be given any more internet privileges

Ask your colleague if his GTA 5 looks anything like the next few "legit" ones out there
