I'm on 3G, duno why its doing that maybe their servers are under stress?

Yarr, just uninstalled it and went from 950mb of used RAM to 650mb. Whatsapp it is for me.

Most annoying part of it all, it's constantly running. You can minimise it but the BBM icon is on your notification bar, which is why it uses so much RAM. It could also just be my phone, LG Optimus L7 II but I doubt that the phone is a problem. I won't bother installing it again anyway.

That can be turned off in settings. I closed bbm earlier and it freed up 30mb...

Problem with me was that I couldn't get past the initial setup. :/

If most of the people you know are already on WhatsApp anyway -- even BB users -- then getting BBM is just simply a waste. Admittedly, I tried for a while to get BBM. Tried many ways. When I finally was informed that BBM was incompatible with my phone... I simply smiled...
