Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

I need to run AV myself tonight after hearing how hard it is Healing wise.. not looking forward doing it now, but sigh will need to give it a try.

It is really not that difficult.

At the first boss after 2 stacks of the debuff you get you *MUST* eat the fruit that grow or it will be difficult on the healer.

Second boss the tank just keeps circling him to avoid getting hit same as you would do in the Hydra fight. A bit tough if you have melee dps as well but still very manageable.

Third Boss you *MUST* eat it after 3 stacks of the debuff.

If everyone in the party does this there is no problem healing the instance

What shirou said...we seriously need some Main tanks now...rest of classes are pretty well covered atm....and welcome!! :D

Pyro we can get a guild grp to run Av for you bud...the guild grp tears thru there....we must just set time aside.

Swift cast is a must for healers... and now I remember AV dungeon after reading Rhymes post...LOL and what he said is exactly right....first boss with shrroms after 2 stacks, and last boss after 3 stacks rest is pretty str8 forward...

I must have just had bad luck then, that final boss chowed up pugs.

The first two are easy, but that last one :/... The adds were never DPS'd fast enough, people forgot to eat their fruits etc...

A guild run should make short work of it but meh, pugging it was horrible for me.

And yeah, you need to play Aurum Vale for AK. I thought I could skip AV but I couldn't get the quest until I defeated AV. Dzemael Darkhold I had done plenty of times before then.

just from quick reading i think i will be going gladiator sounds more like pala/druid tanking from wow which i liked and the marauder more like warrior tanking which i wasnt a fan of

Anyone know where i can get a 90-day sub game time card? I've quickly looked around but seems that i can only get the 60 from prepaidgamer.. Don't really wanna buy from S/E directly as the dollar / rand thing is gebob.

Anyone else try to buy the 90 day sub somewhere?

I have never seems a 90 day sub card...so not sure if it is out there....

Insanity so far, Pally is the best end game tank available, so glad is the way to go. Warriors, (marauder tanks) are very good for all the other dungeons, but fall a bit short end game....HOWEVER, the warriors are getting a buff in next big patch as I understand it, and I personally think Warriors are gonna shine in PvP as far as tank classes go, they have a ice balance of tank and dps skills,PvP is also spose to be coming in next patch.

Pally is all about damage mitigation - period. Warrior is more versatile.

So done AV last night.. first bosses all easy peasy thats if they eat the fruit offcourse untill we hit the last boss now that was a challenge! But we got him down after 3 wipes :P but phew the healing was intense.
