I can see me doing A LOT of sailing around. I just love the sound and feel of the ocean under the ship. Had a moment like this last night when I first got the ship:

Yeah the waves can get pretty damn big, but wait until you encounter Tornado's. Now those are freaky. I did get a Man 'o War for my fleet thanks to a tornado. Saw it getting owned and then I just went it took it. :D

Killed my first white whale now, damn those thing are tough!

Also encountered my first bug, got an assassination contract but when I went there the guy sailed away so I chased him no it shows a target marker with "kill target" but there is nothing there and I can't seem to get rid of the marker. Hope it goes away eventually...
 
I really want to play this game but after watching some PS4 gameplay footage and some "Let's Play" clips on YouTube, I feel that I don't want to play it anymore on my PS3. I would really rather play it at the intended graphical quality than ruin the experience on my console. :)

So my choices are, either get a PC or wait till next year for a PS4. Ish.
 
Anyone else having problems with the pre-order incentive codes?
I got Pride of the West Indies DLC from Kalahari and I'm still getting a message that my code is invalid.

One of my pre-order codes had to be redeemded on a ubi website and not the console itself. Could be that?

Will give that a try, thanks. I hope it works because I entered it on the redeam code section on the game, there is an option for Ubi and that's where I get the message that it's invalid.

You're very welcome! I thought this might be the case since I also thought I had to redeem mine in the game at first, then I read the whole sms I got. :p
 
Can't wait for this on PC! I know there's a bit of polarisation on the AC series, with people saying it's repetitive and doesn't evolve all that much, but AC4 seems like the most evolved AC since Brotherhood. And I like all the core "repetitive" gameplay from AC, so what's the problem? :D

I'm actually looking forward to PC version as well, even though I've finished it on PS3. After watching the nvidia demo on PC I decided to replay the entire series in PC again, currently only have AC2 and Revelations so far (I'll hopefully have found a copy of Brotherhood by the time I finish 2), but I just pre-ordered the PC version of Black Flag today just in case I decide to buy it on release as well.

I dont agree with people saying they are all the same as every game has introduced new gameplay mechanics but this is definitely the most "fresh" one sine AC2.

I need a new shanty! My crew are driving me bananas.
You know how AC is - your running and jumping is seamless until you actually have to chase something. Then you get stuck in trees, fall into baskets, jump into haystacks...
