Graphics Card Advice (Budget R3300)

You could just get a different model 270X? (The Gigabyte Windforce model is also very good) I don't think you'll be able to get a 280X for R3700. I may be wrong though, give Joker a pm and ask for his advice :)

Perhaps, regarding the other 270X. Just concerned though if I buy something now and be hasty, I'll get something that's not as good. Then I'll regret it big time :p

Just checking my possibilities though. Will drop Joker a msg :D

Found a direct comparison between the Vapor-X and the Toxic here.

1% difference consisting of the following where the Toxic wins with:

50mhz core speed
50mhz memory speed
6.4 GB/sec memory bandwidth
4 GTexel/s texture rate
1.6 GPixel/s pixel rate

I have my doubts that the above slight differences are R500 worth. Nor 2+ months wait worth.

So my options basically at the moment are:

Sapphire R9-270X TOXIC 2GB (But wait 2+ months)
GIGABYTE GTX760 2GB
SAPPHIRE R9-270X VAPOR-X ED 2GB

Bought 2 x MSI Gaming Radeon R9 270X from Evetech on Thursday (R 2799 each, R 5498 for both), since the Sapphire R280x Toxic I ordered is being delayed too many times  and I don't regret getting them, they perform very well and are whisper quiet even under load.

I also overclocked them to 1150 MHz on the Core and 1550 MHz (6200 MHz) on the memory using MSI's afterburner.

The cards also come with a 3 years local warranty:)

Was about to order the Gigabyte GTX 760 I mentioned, but then noticed it needs an 8pin connector. I have a 6+2, but not sure if it will suffice hmmz. Google time.

Well the Powercolor R9 270X O.C only needs one 6 pin conector and you can't go wrong with that card i have one and it's awesome for the price

Isn't that the same thing? Just that it allows you to use it as a 6 pin or 8 pin.

@Gimaru, I asked the guys at spectratec and they say they might be getting stock today or on Monday of the Sapphire R9-270X TOXIC 2GB because I was looking at getting one as well and they might be putting it on special so fingers crossed.

Cheers for the help, but I already placed an order yesterday for a GTX 760 for R 3400 :)

Picking it up tomorrow, well excited.
