Local MMO Downloads

If you use RouteSentry, purely for ease of access, GameZone files can be downloaded via local. I mention RouteSentry because the GameZone site itself is international, but the downloads are mirrored in ZA.

Lord of the Rings Online: Shadow of Angmar
books and patches are available as well as Mines of Moria patches/books. Well, most of them. It seems to have been a while since GZ uploaded more books/patches and the first part of the Mines of Moria patch for Shadow of Angmar is missing :p

They also have World of Warcraft patches and, well, really GZ is just a nice place to find any game patches, even for offline games. Especially large ones that are a bit more costly to download internationally. I guess browse and see? :)

Just by the way, downloads from GZ come in the form of a mini self-contained downloader which downloads the actual file.

Thanks man :) I will definitely give them a try.

Good grief, one would think that if Telkom were going to cap me they'd at least be quick with it *rolls eyes*

Only download afaik, there would need to a peering server/service in SA for us to play on local cap

UPDATE -I added the following to the list:

* Eve Online Client Patch (what I assume updates to the latest version from the client listed)
* Heroes of Newerth Beta client
* (US - Mac) World of Warcraft Patch 3.1.3 -> 3.2.0

Thanks Lydon. Is there only the US version people play or an EU / other version too?

I see why no one has it - I am struggling to find a copy, seems all the links I try is from 2008, or is this accurate?

As far as I know there's a NA and EU version.

I've never tried downloading it, however, so I can't help otherwise. Sorry :)

Thanks anyway. From the torrents I have seen, it looks to be 13-14GB in total.
This must be the size everyone is complaining about.

I don't like torrents since you don't know what you will be getting, so I am looking for alternatives.
I am even thinking of signing up for a month and getting the digital download that way.

Hhmmm...
