Telkom ISP issue, anyone else having same experience?

I have done a quick test. My Dota ping seems much better, I have not actually tried playing a game of dota, been too busy, but it averages from 60-110 my latency which is much better than 600+ constantly.

My newsgroup download is working perfectly, but browsing, youtube steaming and international downloads is kak slow

Best you guys can do is log a dispute coming month end when you have to pay them and provide them with your ticket number and say you have been paying for a service you can't really use, hopefully once they start losing money, they will try and get this shit resolved

Did you get any emails from them updating you on the issue? I got two so far. I've had my issues these last two weeks or so, but before that it went quite good. Hopefully the issues get sorted quick and all goes back to normal.
 
Ok i'm now gatvol.com

I will be cancelling today with Telkom and go back to Mweb. I couldnt even connect to a Twitch Steam last night and I tried playing 2 Dota games, but I had constant lag spikes to 600ms, at times the spike were 1500ms... this is not on, im not paying for this kak!

Been working all weekend, so haven't had much time for gaming, but tried a couple of Twitch streams, and they were just fucked. I'm guessing gaming's gonna be out of the question, too. Afrihost is perfect, but TI is just totally screwed. Doesn't seem like they give a shit, either.

Yep, they dont give a shit. I have contacted the escalations department, TelkomZA on Twitter and I have not had any feedback from them at all. Really poor service

Yeah, I've been having issues as well lately. The main problem comes in with streaming in general; and gaming is super twitchy. Sigh and I was so hype about this [Its a mostly new line]
 
Last year I moved to mweb because I could not have taken the slow speeds any longer, one of the best choices I made. They will always let you down at the worst time.
 
Oh and their statement about the problem being mainly international is BS; my downloads are faster from international and slowest when on local [Jozi]
 
Afrihost handles my line and since they have I've had very few issues - they even contact Telkom for me.
 
Telkom has nice phone like, home phone deals but cannot handle adsl very good according to me, but this is just my opnion

I find that it goes quicker when I phone Telkom myself when theres bigger problems on the line, how have they been when line goes down or cable goes faulty?

Telkom usually fix anything in under 3 days for me here.
 
I'm getting pings of 20 odd to CS GO and at the same time 450-480 in dota 2. Anyone else have an issue with dota 2 pings only?
