Comic Books

What I used to do was read the comic once, then it got stored away. Later on I got the collected graphic novel, and if I felt like reading that storyline again, just got that out.

Where can one actually look up what comics are worth what?

You can check the value of books out here. But this is only an indication, many people believe that this is what they'll actually get for their books.

Do I get a noddy badge? Haha, sadly though, when I got caught up in the comic buying frenzy, I bought a few side line comics that ended up being shite, so still stuck with those. So quantity vs quality I would rather now go for the latter.

Yeah, I feel the same. I don't have many books in my boxes that I regret buying. But I have dumped a bunch of books, at the moment only getting 4-5 in print form.

Look them up on the site and let us know. Be modest with the price guide, books are always in a lesser condition that people think they are. That way, you're never disappointed when you get a rating and it is lower than you thought.
 
Just checked out that site and looks to be plenty helpful. Have to register though. Might be interesting seeing who has what comics though, so if you find you have a nice set, maybe let us know :)

They only allow you like 50 books before you need to pay a monthly subscription...

Missed that. Damn.

I just finished reading the Grant Morrison Kid Eternity. It was actually pretty good. It reminded me a lot of the Hellspawn series (a beautifully illustrated Spawn spin-off) done a few years back in terms of art-style and subject matter. I think it's worth a read if any of you guys can get hold of it. I haven't seen it around much to be honest, but I was lucky enough to be given it in a Reddit Exchange :D

I still need to read that. Super pumped for the new Morrison/Burnham horror series that is coming out this year, Nameless.

By the way, you can still read all the AmAs with comic creators. It is fun to see how they respond and sometimes people have already asked the questions that you wanted to ask.

Having said that, I did once have my question answered by Rick Remender :D

I buy the collected editions digitally. I need to buy vol3 over the weekend.

I'm a bit behind on the Walking Dead. I have the graphic novels, but I'm missing a few and don't want to read the newer ones before getting them. I'll probably end up getting them digitally.

Great :/ Not only do I have to sit and wait for the series to start again, but now I'm hyped up for the comics.
