Telkom Internet ADSL problems fix in the works

Hope so, so far the service is still quite bad when doing anything with my Telkom account especially gaming and torrenting.
 
Not going to hold out much hope for this. My boss switched from Telkom to Mweb last September after a few months' of incredibly abysmal service and internet so awful we couldn't even make clear VOIP calls. My friend who switched TO Telkom around the same time says it has been just as bad for her since then but she's locked into a contract.
 
For me after last week's slow internet, the internet is fast again, feel like a superhero on the internet again.

I get mad at telkom real easy but when my internet is back to normal like this, I love them in a way a mother loves her children.
Thanks Telkom from my part, don't know if all probems are solved but thanks in advance.

Its been perfect for many months its only since December it went weird.
 
Well, after people started saying TI was getting better this week, I tried finding a competitive match in CS:GO earlier today: all I got was a bag of NO. International pings are still just so erratic. Switched over to my Afrihost 1GB account, and voilà - a game is ready a few seconds later. Stable ping ftw. Sorry Telkom, but you betrayed my trust (and that of thousands of other gamers): it's OVER.
 
Yeah for me its the end of December it went all to the dogs. At one point I couldn't even watch youtube.

Guess it's different for everyone. I've had nothing but bad experience with Telkom. It's weird because essentially Mweb is leasing lines from Telkom but the quality is so much better?

Thats weird would have said its the line but since mwebs fine its not and were you on uncapped?

Would you believe we were leasing an uncapped prioritised diginet business line for R16000 a month! Switching to a 4meg Mweb business line for R2500 solved the problem, and saved my boss a lot of money. Telkom were absolutely useless, giving this and that excuse for the poor quality for months and did not bother at all to try and keep our contract when we decided to cancel it.

We had all kinds of people in to inspect our equipment. We're quite a huge call centre and the telesales staff make leads for an insolvency firm in the UK, so the inability to make clear VOIP calls severely affected them which threatened our future, so I can assure you my boss did double check everything that it could've been. Every time we invited Telkom to come and have a look (as they kept saying nothing is wrong despite sending them proof of latency issues etc), the problem was magically gone for a good few hours before starting up again. It was a very frustrating time and we would've never thought a cheaper package from somewhere else would so easily solve the problem.
 
Over Telkom now. Will be cancelling today. Couldn't even connect to a Twitch Stream last night, had to log on with a capped Mweb account to watch the stream.
 
Awesome news, hopefully this will fix my 600+ ping in Dota 2. :)

Strangely enough torrents for me have been fine. What client are you using?
