Me too. Im a huge racing fan so awaiting the release of drive club on ps4 first. If thats good enough ps4 it is. If not I'll probably get a xbox one forza 5 bundle :)

The big question is Whats it gonna cost with the rand plummeting you might have to take out a second mortgage on your home to afford one lol.

i am a HUGE xbox 360 fan (versus the PS3) but i think that this gen, i'm gonna go with PS4. the PSN service also appears to offer better value for money.

but don't get me wrong, at some point in the future if i have spare cash i will also be keen to get an xbone. just not anytime soon

Another thing that worries me is the amount of features on the XBox One that's not going to work in South Africa. Just look how poorly supported the XBox 360 is. I don't think we get even half of the features that overseas people have.

Oh but we can play games, can't we? Ah yes but I wonder how many future XBox One games won't be available to South Africans. Whether it's On Demand or Live titles we can just look at the 360's lack of games compared to overseas countries and it makes one wonder.

The price will also be higher than the PS4 and XBox Live gold doesn't come close to PSN.

I used to be a Microsoft fan. Very much so but they just don't give a shit about South Africa and the XBox One fails in comparison to the PS4. I will rather wait and see how our XBox One experience will be compared to what you get overseas before I will even think about getting one.

Well, with talks between Telkom and Netflix that should be at least one feature. Then there is still discussions to be had with Microsoft and Multichoice, which could also bring in some new features. So I think we will at least have something to justify the purchase. But personally, I will only get it for gaming.

Actually saw one on Gumtree yesterday for R6150 :)

Haha, true man. And my wife and I have two xbox's in the same room...I'm still wondering what will happen when one of us says, "Xbox off", and they both turn off. No man.

The voice functions is something I wont use, I am too lazy to speak so would rather just turn it off/on via remote

Very well said. These are my feelings exactly. I long for the day that SA will have access to the kinds of features the US has.

I just cant believe their roll out plan... Its going to take nearly a year after launch to get to SA... How is that even remotely justifiable?

It was clear from the start they dont give a shit about anything other than the US and EU market. Well, those initial launch countries anyway. A big middle finger to everyone else.
