Insomnia cures that worked for you

i have the same problem. coffee does jack to keep me awake. Tea seems to be more effective.

Apparently there is actually more caffeine in tea than in coffee. My old man (who has a chemistry masters) tells me this because in university they would use tea to extract caffeine rather than coffee.

There is more caffeine in tea LEAVES than in coffee beans, but you don't eat tea leaves or coffee beans so that doesn't really count. :p

There is however more caffeine in a cup of brewed coffee than in a cup of tea.

Ah ok, I stand corrected.

i think we have derailed in the opposite direction with the tea/coffee/monster theories :-) Thats kinda the opposite of an Insomnia cure :D

i reckon im gonna try the herbal meds and/or exercise and see if that helps.

Stretch before you go to bed, and loosen up a bit. Read a book or a magazine or whatever for a while, maybe listen to the radio, and then turn in for the night. All of that helps me most nights. Otherwise try some of those relaxation videos on YouTube.

I think getting exercise is a very good suggestion. I've started going to gym recently and I'm feeling better and sleeping better, and you burn off some of the excess energy.

Exercise is almost a guaranteed knock-outer. If I go really hard then I have 0 energy left to actually stay awake and I;m out like a light

Reading will 100% knock you out. I tend to pass out 5min into a book if I am on my bed. Sitting up I am fine though.

Try it, read something. Perhaps make it super boring.....

Think of something you HAVE to do - and you'll immediately be lazy and want to sleep.

Also, whale sounds.

Tbh exercise has not helped at all :/ Sometimes I even workout 4/5 times a week. Maybe I should try and sleep at the same time every night.
