Cricket Thread - not the bugs but the buggers playing it :)

First test we were just totally outplayed, no excuses. And notice how we dont give them excuses either, we take it on the chin and dominate the second. Useless Ozzies.

Really looking forward to the third test now!

This actually speaks volumes about our players... Firstly like you say, we took it on the Chin and let the cricket do the talking in the second test, then after the allegations of ball tampering, our guys dont start a whole thing about it and start hurling insults, they just reply that Warner is just trying to hype up the next test and they dont take the bait... Best way to handle it and make him look like a fool...
 
After giving the Aussies a lesson in test cricket our U19 lads did the same in a 50 over game today. Knocked them out and set us up for a Final against Pakistan on Saturday. Should be a good.

Yeah they just could not handle the pace and bounce of Kagiso Rabada he took 6 wickets and is one to watch for the future.
 
Bowling 141kph in an u-19 is phenomenal... although he will have to be very carefully managed. His body is being put under immense strain as a fast bowler and we sure as hell don't want him to keep getting injured like de Lange. Definitely keeping my eye on him from now on
 
Yeah he'll probably be pulled into the main team soon if he carries on like he is. Great prospect for us.

HE should have gotten his whole match fee taken away, you can't just go around accusing people of cheating.
Brings the game into disrepute. I think he'll be treated to some beastly fast bowling for his comments and I honestly hope Steyn rips his middle stump out the ground..So can't wait!!
 
It is pretty strange to start a test on a saturday....

I can only think they want to sell out day 1 and 2 and are hoping days 3-5 will be really exciting and get people to go watch....
 
Yeah the only logic I can see behind it is that Day 1 and 2 is still pretty open in that anything can happen and it might draw more crowds, if it was say day 3/4/5 the state of the game might be quite one-sided leading to lower attendance etc. All I know is I'm gonna wake up, play some BF4, have an epic breakfast and watch some proper cricket till my wife drags me around for some shopping or something equally tedious.

Seriously, trying to get any work done or asking for anything from our CPT office on a Friday is completely useless

My sister works at the Chevron/Caltex refinery in Milnerton and she gets every 2nd Friday off. How I wish I had that.
